Anwar Ibrahim: Talking Shite or Getting Rid of It?

So is Anwar full of shite or does he have his hands firmly on the chain ready to flush away Barisan Najis . . .?

The day has come & gone & many are none the wiser as to where this country is heading towards. People are divided as to Anwar's refusal to disclose the list of names. Old Sleepy Eyes has point blank refused to meet with Anwar saying it is a ruse while Najib called it the "politics of deception".

Leslie Lau wrote a scathing commentary in the Malaysian Insider saying that Anwar's refusal to go public with the list was a slap in the face fer all Malaysians who voted opposition & had placed their hopes fer change in the former DPM. He also said the no-show of defectors was just as big an insult to the rakyat's intelligence as Syed Hamid's protestation that the Sin Chew reporter had been detained under the ISA "fer her own safety".

Now, me is one of those who voted opposition & hopes that Pakatan can bring about some change to our country(eg the start of a two-party democracy, abolition of ISA, free judiciary & media etc). Me can fully understand the frustrations of some when Anwar failed to show concrete proof. Can also understand Barisan's cynicism - after all blind loyalty is a prerequisite to joining the party.

But in defence of Anwar & to retort Leslie Lau's reportage, surely one can be satisfied that on the promised date Anwar has thrown down the gauntlet & basically embarked on a journey of no turning back. Seriously, does anyone think Anwar can wriggle his way out if he fooking fails to deliver the crossovers? That's it. Kaput. Credibility down the fooking toilet. He will be fooking worse off than he when he was in jail.

As fer not producing the list? The detention of Teresa Kok & the Sin Chew journo under the ISA is ample proof that BN will stop at nothing to get its own way. Hearsay? Good enough fer them. Fear & intimidation? Why the fook not?
Think about it, these heavy handed actions were taken against two individuals who were just doing their jobs & were in NO way a threat to national security. What do you think UMNO's reaction will be when they learn of the identities of the defectors?

C4 a few of them to send out a clear fooking signal? Detain them fer being a threat to national security on account of their betrayal of the voters? Race riots to give Malaysians a fresh reminder of the consequences of NOT letting BN have their own way?

Far-fetched? They've fooking done it all before, haven't they?

So while me is none the wiser as to what will happen next, me is sure an outcome one way or another is in the pipeline . . . with either Anwar or BN going down the fooking sewer.

Thomas Jefferson once said "A Nation's best defense is an educated citizenry."

I fucking hope we're educated enough during such precarious times.

ps: Have you seen the barrage of comments attacking yer hubby after yer "go get a tat" comment? Good one la aunty, TQ!

AD: Me agrees with you. DSAI has his reasons for not revealing the names of the Defectors... like you said, a multiple of bad things could happen to these people... from C4 to ISA. I think he is playing it smart. I don't think (yet) he is just providing lip service and not delivering on his promise. I quote John Travolta from the movie Broken Arrow "war is an extremely fluid situation" hence some changes need to be done along the way to accomodate the situation.

And like you said, if he does not deliver, he will definitely be the laughing stock of the nation and all credibility will be lost.

whats going to happen next? Me prediction is DSAI will see our Agong and hoepfully that gets some "heads" rolling. If No also, then the defectors have to grow some balls and just come out into the open and brace for impact.

As usual, we'll have to wait and see how this tale unfolds.

Malaysian: TQ fer the link.

Well, that's two down, 29 more to go . . .

Yes I agree with you, AD - I believe we should give Anwar some credit here..those who expected some immediate wrestling of power yday were silly lah. These things take time. Plus, with the Gomen's recent actions (stewpik Taiwan trip, in particular and of course, the ISA detaining Teresa, Raja Petra) in a (poor) attempt to delay/thwart his plans...well, only fair we give him more time right?

classyadele: But make no mistake, time is ticking & may soon be running out fer Anwar if he doesn't show something concrete sooner or later . . . But let's hope he does.

ps: Yer hubby just called me fer tattoo parlour contacts! Ha ha!

AD: Yeah...i also agree... the longer DSAI takes to topple BN, the more people / support he is going to lose and i bet you the Barisan Najis fan club will say "told you so"

But to be fair, i think we should give him some extra time... what he is doing is a mammoth of a task and with all the "roadblocks" and obstacles set up by BN to stop him in every move, its going to be hard and will take time. Besides, what other better option do we have but to be patient?

20th Sept or slightly after-lah. I think we should give him till then since that is the date the Agong is back right? So far he has kept his word... not 100%, but still, something.

BTW I also agree with you on your previous post that things will get worse before it gets better. Hopefully not a whole lot worse, but we should be prepared.

achilles: The "minor" cabinet reshuffle - PM takes over MinDef while Najib takes on Finance portfolio.

Some say this is a sign of impending martial law with PM wanting to be in direct control of armed forces.

Others say its just a "wayang kulit" to show that Najib is being groomed fer top job.

Yet others see it as Bodohwi doing a quick hoover of the massive finances @ MinDef before being booted out of office . . .

Which is true? You decide.

SAPP just pulled out from BN but presently have stated their intention to stay independent. Mutton Chops Yong says they are not joining Pakatan but my guess is that this will be a matter of time. 2 down, 29 more to go...

It looks like our PM may be gearing up for something big. He has taken over the post of Defence Minister and has made a statement saying that Anwar is a threat to the economy and security of our country.

Sounds like grounds for ISA. Looks like Bodohwi is desperate to stay in power.

I hope he suprises us all and arrests Najib. Hahahahah!!!!!!

Achilles said...

Kopite 78: hahahaha... that would be an interesting twist to this saga.

AD: If Bodohwi is in charge of Defense, me thinks Martial law is just a step away. That's just me prediction-lah... why else take over that potfolio? Can make more money while being Finance Minister. Also, by being in charge of defense, he will flex his new muscles now and send DSAI to the dungeon for sure. No other way to stop the momentum DSAI has successfully built. it's that or early retirement without a pension fund for bodohwi.

sam goh: TQ fer that little rap.

Bernard: Its a 'wait & see' game . . . Everyone waiting fer some else to take the plnge first.

Kopite78: Yes, that does look like the most likely scenario. Anwar has said he expects to be taken in under the ISA. So what's his next move?

Achilles: MinDef is also another carte blanch la dude. Just see how Najib made trillions from buying a couple of rusted subs . . .

Gentlemen, this is what's called chess or you can call it poker. Call it what you want but this is a poltical chess. The way I see it, DSAI for all reason has no reason to show AB anything. However, they need to meet to sort out the mess. Unless, DSAI has already done by giving him a letter and telling him fook off now or you'll be dealth with.

Chances are the next couple of days would be the defining moment for :
DSAI
AB
Najib

However, I would like it if DSAI comes to power, which means Teresa Kok is going to come out and bo

Anwar has done the right thing in withholding the names of the defectors. At this time it is way to risky to reveal too much as you could be sure there will detentions, people going missing and some shenanigans.

The challenge has come forth and there is no turning back for him now.

I agree that if he has come this far he can not be trying to bluff, just trying to protect people.

But he has got to reveal the list sooner or later or risk losing face. This is the time to strike and I hope things are done smoothly.

I also hope the world (especially the media) will be paying close attention and be ready to come in to make sure things do not escalate.

Heck I am visiting Malaysia at the end of the year and do not want to find my fav mamak stalls are closed because of this :-P

Achilles said...

AD: True... defense ministry is big business.. but me thinks his 1st motivation for this is to have power over the military...2nd is the retirement plan.

Me hopes DSAI does something drastic soon... this "piss on everything and no one can say/do shit" attitude of Barisan Najis has gone on for too long.

With things getting worse and worse, I am still amazed at how people can still support them...

kerp: Am certainly not getting carried away since there's nothing to get carried away about. Just bad news & more fooking bad news.

MrD: Don't worry. Even in the event of a nuclear catastrophe you can be assured that mamak stall will still be there la . . .

Alberus: Khir Fooking Toyo - the bane of all Malaysians. What me canna understand is how some people are so fooking shrill in denouncing kickdefella's upside dopwn flag initiative & quick to assasinate Anwar's character but are nowhere as belligerent on the subject of ths twat!?! Mind boggling.

Azer: problem is everyone is in the fooking dark la.

Achilles: Retirement plan? Fooker has swindled enough to last seven fooking generations la . . .

My 1st thought is Martial law is very near. This could be AB's lat resort to stay in power. Better keep your ears on the ground.k

Vageliser said...

I do not think that Malaysia will go martial law. These days, the eyes of the world are watching and if something negative happens i am hoping the world media pounces on this and takes it.

The Malaysian govt has to be more accountable to the world and going the military way will be downright difficult.

Lets see if they go ahead with september 23 and see how things go.

Anwar can not be bs-ing here, he knows if he is, he loses all his credibility.
