Making a tit out of the beautiful game

Ok, now that the me has got yer attention courtesy of the pix, let's get straight to the issue at hand.

Am sure some of you would have read that the local footie scene has again been beset by allegations of corruption & match-fixing. Now, all manner of VIPs from the DPM & the Home Minister aka The Two Blardi Botaks, have called fer the ACA to carry out a thorough investigation into all M'sian sports.

Me is a firm believer that the beautiful game is not just a spectator sport. It is most definitely more than just a game - it is where the aspirations of a community lie & where a nation can pin its hopes. Ti's the one sport which can transport you from the the greyness & drudgery of everyday routine. More importantly, it is a mirror of the society it represents.

Don't believe me. Take a look at the way the Krauts play their footie. Precise, technical & machine-like in their execution of tactics. Much like their famed automobiles.

Or how about the English & their thunderous blood & guts game? Its a reflection of their never-say-die Churchillian attitude. Sheer bloodymindedness will get you thru the day (if NOT Euro 2008 qualification).

So is it any wonder that the Malaysian footie scene is rotten to its core with corruption? After all, our country is beset by corrupt civil servants, law enforcement officers, judges &, of course, politicians. We live & breathe corruption at almost every level of society. Of course, our footie is gonna fooking reflect that!

After the first clean up almost two fooking decades ago, no improvement is on the fooking horizon. We still have the Sultan of Pahang at the helm despite the fact that under his reign, Malaysia has dropped over a hundred places in world ranking. And yet he is still there. Am just fooking amazed that there are actually people who still give a shit about local football. If that isn't blind fooking patriotism, me don't know what is.

Unlike the pix above where the tits are a welcome distraction, the local authorities have made a real tit of the beautiful game. The Malaysian public had voted fer a change in the recent GE. Is it to much to hope that a similar change will sweep thru our local footie scene?

ps: K fooking J is on the FAM committee. Need me say more?

pps: Look forward to yer comments on the tragedy of our local footie scene.

Lama saya tidak menjenggok blog anda disebabkan komitmen terhadap kerja yg terlampau dasyhat sgt...Brain dah dlm keadaan standby nak bunuh diri...

Komentar saya terhadap isu amat mudah selepas team perak yg saya dulu sgt meminati didapati terlibat dalam kes rasuah pada thaun 1994 yg melibatkan hampir lapan ke 9 pemain utama seperti Azizol abu Hanifa,P ravindran...dsbgnya...
Saya telah berhenti menyokong atau menonton...bolasepak malaysia...tapi...sakit hati gak everytime lose kat Kedah..

Football shouldn't be mixed with politics. Rather, ALL sports shudn't be mixed with politics.

Actually, politics mixed with anything is bad. It's ok to be a PATRON but not get involved in it directly..

Forget national football la.. Every year my old school (VI) plays MCKK for the Premier Cup (it's between these 2 teams only). Last year the boys from my school found out that the match was fixed and almost punched our school coach. In front of the Regent of Perak. Huge fucking fracas, punk to no end.

If corruptions like these start at SCHOOL level, then you cant do much about the national level la.

My piece said. :)

anba: yes, gua pun dulu bodoh pegi stadium merdeka, kena hujan, makan burger setengah masak, etc to watch bloody S'gor . . .

nick mun: But there were some really good memories as well. (*all together now*) Singapore bastard!

tinesh: Correct. Was told by a mutual friend who played under Ahmad Basri fer Kedah youth aeons ago. Imagine, u-15 games also kena rasuah. Me friend was a goalie & he was offered RM500 to throw the game! Fook that's a lot of dough 20 years ago fer a 15 year old . . . Macam mana mau fight la? That was more than their allowance fer several months!

Local football? There is premier league, Super League and god knows what other league! Recently a FIFA official came over to M'sia and said M'sia is the only country in the world that has odd no of teams in their leagues! It means, one team is off every week! Stupid!

Gave up on local football long ago. I was in Bangkok last year working as part of the organising committee for the AFC Asian Cup. It was embarassing when the Thais started asking y we were being thrashed 5-0, 5-1 etc when the Thais were doing so well against eventual champions Iraq and Australia. Could only afford a smile.

It has just gone to the dogs. Yes, I was one of those who used to go on mbike all the way to Stadium Merdeka to watch local games! Those were the days.

I said fook you to local football a long time ago. The "rasuah" shite was the final nail in the coffin for me.

The only way local footie can rise back up from the ashes is through a total rebuild of the whole fooking setup, starting from the top. And, yup get KJ the fark outta FAM.

To me, as long as the FAM is run by political fookers like KJ who is out for glory, our Football std will continue to freefall. We need a passionate football loving person to take over with just the best interest of the game at heart. But then where the fook do we find this person? Says a lot abt our football!

lim: World renowned football pundit, Shebbie Singh? HA HA!

JonC: The Sultan of Pahang is yet another example of Royal intereference where its not wanted. Worse, he insists in clinging on to the job despite his failings. Viva la Republic? (Albertus - no comment?)

j or JI: me is old enough (& fortunate enough) to have seen some true greats in the shape of the late great Super Mokh & Spiderman Aru, Towkay Soh Chin Aun, Hassan Sani, James Wong, Jamal Nasir, Santokh Singh et al bloody beat S Korea fer the rite to be Asia's top dog.

Fooking hell, me remeber trouncing Japan 8-o!!! Yes, EIGHT FOOKING NIL!

Will have to say Azizol & Matlan's generation were a far cry from the (*sorry*) good old days. the rot had already set in . . .

Malaysian football is like comedy hour to me bro. Never bloody watch it as thats not cos i don't like comedy. But the comedy of it all is that these FAM fookers or whoever it is in control take their shit seriously! Kao chor ah.

After Super Mokh, Towkay and gang well, maybe even James Wong, Hassan Sani and gang were really worth the ticket man. To think i used to frequent murdiker stadium in full blooded support of our national side. Couldn't fookin care less now. Yup can agree with the rest, gave up long time ago.

Those mighty fine lookin footballeresses you got posted there might just be the only eye candy metaphor of what the malaysian football scene used to be or maybe close to.

Just what would we do without them lovely women folk.

As Nick said, why bother with the local footie scene. So long as the FA's are still populated by people interested only in the prestige of the position and know fook all about the beautiful game, the local footie scene will suffer as a result. Fook them-lah, go support a true Malaysian professional...arise Ms Nicol David.

anfield devotee said...

azer: Ha ha . . . Poon Fook Loke, Colin Sta Maria ?

Bernard: The delicious irony is that a true Malaysian world beaters are reduced to plying their trade in shopping malls (Miss David) & begging fer sponsors (Karamjit). Meanwhile, thousands still feel the need to go watch & support local footie.

RE: People who don't know shit about the game running things
Someone should tell Messrs Hicks & Gillette that they are wanted here.

I've come across your blog in tinesh's. Read your piece and i can't agree more with what you said. So much corruption, so much shit. At a higher level, i can understand. But this is a sport, a game!

Dear Leah,

Welcome to Fer Fook's Sake.

Have visited yer blog & noted that yer a manc. Well, welcome anyways.

Corruption in society will manifest itself in the spectacle we love so much.

And it is NOT just a game . . .

Dey! Nicol playing in a glass court at Berjaya Times Square cannot be equated to say, some crappy boy band making a mall appearance. The reason for a glass court is to enable an all round view & they do that (ie. play in public places) on the world squash circuit. But really pity Karamjit. He's a skilful driver with a proven record & he can't muster enuf financing to compete as compared to that poseur, Alex Yoong.

BTW, look up a Cantonese video on swearing on me blog. Intellectually stimulating!!

what were you saying again?...sorry...fixated....

anyway...ah...our local football...sorry...lost interest after Malaysia stop importing players...dear Penang kinda lost its heart once Merzagua Abderazak (totally wrong spelling, nvm) left...look where they are now....aihhh...

about corruption in Malaysia football...all I can say is "Corrupt! Corrupt! Corrupt!"...Badminton also rumored to have corruption...same la our hockey...once top 5 in the world...now...

our sports hierarchy is damn wrong la...involvement of non-sport people already super wrong...from a national sports psychologist's mouth, I was told coaches can't even get the freedom to choose players...the chairperson wants this power too...the association wants this power too...the National Sports Council wants this power too...how the coach gonna work la like that?

As for KJ,....am I right that he can't be involved anymore because he is an MP?...or was that "rule" set last year or last last year for Ministers only?...or Local Councils?...

Everything is being taken advantage of, everything they put to their use. Dirt all the way! Funny.
