Heavy Hindu Metal!

Most old timers will remember before Shelter there was this bunch of tattooed hoolies who embraced the peaceful meditations of the Hare Krishna sect. Didnae seem to stop them from making an almighty racket though.

Part of the crossover punk/thrash movement of the late 80s alongside bands such as DRI & Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags existed beyond that of mere novelty. Lyrics inspired by the holy books & thick crunching guitars saw them gain quite a following. Though their careers were short-lived, this LP still sounds fresh today & will inspire many lively dandruff removal sessions!

This album is testament that violent-sounding music need not cause ye to lead a violent life. Enjoy!

Hey no offence but me never really into all these Krishnacore stuff. Heard of Shelter though, that too for their remake of The Beatles' We Can Work It Out. Lennon would be proud of them i think.

Good to see ye back Kerp!

Nay probs, each to their own. However, me thinks ye'd probably prefer Cro-Mag's first LP The Age of Quarrel. Much more hardcore punk.

whoaaa chief...yu is taking us a longgg wayyy back now. :)))

to come clean, cheboked and swiped, if my corroded pipeline of memory serves me right..i've probably only heard 2 proper tracks of the cromags, that too on a dubbed TDK-90 tape. yu know with the usual daintily hand-written covers..blaring the words...
"NOO-YAWK HC - BEST OF". which i must admit splintered me on a path of ardent discovery of other legends..which amongst others..include:
1)the aF..still remember the yelp chief? ..."STIGGGGMAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"...mwahhahahhahahha.
2)early b-hazard..and some helmet..both sadly..i could not get under my skin, dunno why..all that macho muskel turned me off..bearing in mind it was around the time...i used to spend hours flippin' through smiths tape sleeves..and attempting pathetically to perfect the morrisey jambul...does not work with curly hair..;
3)SOIA (affectionately then referred to as SOYA);
3a) got a few more la..cant member oridi...gorilla biskut (i think.)..warzone..and
of course..
yu had ..SHELTTERRRRRRRRR

"don't putcha ya labelsss on meeeeee...there'ss soo moreee yu can't sseeee..
stop conconting storiesss...
inventing categoriess....
of who i shoulddd beee.."...

and one more this track..called..."one concern"...
"my one concern is not to own..land or sky or oceannn...or get up on some stayygee..and go through some motions...
i want this iron heart of mine
to soften with sommee emottionnnn...my once concern is
to
manifffeestt devotions"

near-perfect foilage for the idealistic cunts deeply
buried within us. and especially at that age. with fists in the air.
shelter.

the first time i heard..my naviety prodded through my nostrils.."ini macam punya mat saleh pon ada ka?"..which lead me to another quirky spiritual path of more reading on the hKs.

who says loud music tak bermanfaat...banyak pengetahuan bang, opens doors to loutish knowledge (and unabated alcohol-induced stupos).

thanks for this link dude. know this is really rare shit man. susah giler mau carik.

tinesh: rudra - giler gempak dude. similar to cro-mags manage to catch an online sample about maybe 2 years back chief. heard they were either just abt to split up..or ganthi member. machas can really wreck havoc. no doubt about that. VEDIC METAL bro..mwahhahaha

catch ya later boss. thanks.

appreciatively,
moz.
