Master of Frets

Imagine wot would the history of metaldom be if Metallica had actually hired this dude to replace Cliff?

Les Claypool had actually gone fer the auditions but the Metalligang found him just a little way too out there.

Perhaps they wouldn't have gone all shitty soft rock if they had replaced an unconventional bass legend with a totally off the wall character like Les.

Shame . . .

a) bill laswell;
b) mr.motorhead - l.kilmister; and
c) a very dubious (c) at that - k.gordon sonic the yAUTH. am still wondering at times, whether everyting on every singe LP is ..er..impromptu.

Ha Primus.

Anyone remember 'Pork Soda'? :))

My favorite track off the album:

I dunno if Bill or Lemmy woulda fit the bill tho... they were kinda older guys by the time Hetfield and gang were famous.

Les, genius that he is, admittedly was too far out for 'em.

I wonder what would've happened if Flea joined em? Or their other contemporaries frm Megadeth, Anthrax, Faith No More perhaps?

I saw SY live too at Singapore but it was during their Washing Machine tour. Alas not good things do come to an end too :(
