Desire . . .
Why are nice things always so daaaaaamn expensive?
Its not the purchase price, rather the maintenance . . .
Been car hunting recently & have had me head turned by this beautiful Fiat Coupe. Quite a few around & prices range from RM30,000 to RM85,000. But its the horror stories me hears from other coupe owners that have put a halt to me dreaming (eg timing belt change: RM1500 / brake pump: RM1700 etc etc). Fooking hell . . .

1)caldina..cbu..2nd hand.
sounds italian.
(feel that somehow it does not retain the yuppie look of the other toyol-tas...and the hondas,nissangs,sentras..).
2) subaru - forrester..cbu...engine can fly. power giler. also retains that signature subaru sound.
pure noise. plus hey its a wagon.
3) volvo - 2nd hand worth it. no, on second thoughts no. the wagon versions are soccer mom delights. pathetic.
hmmm...the other options are huge mafarkin halfminibuses mobile monstrosites called MPVs..SUVs..and SUNnies.

LLT: Haven't ye noticed , me does not live on Planet Practical . . .
Mozzer: Monster stays. Now looking to upgrade wifey's kancil to something a little more spacious (& stylish of course) . . .
suzuki swift
AD: fiat coupe is a sweet car. Had no idea the spare parts were so expensive. How about mazda rx7? Road tax also cheap. Only drawback is, i heard fixing rotary engine in tough.
Anba: Spare part mahal.
Achilles: Serious bro. That's just the wear & tear bits, imagine if its a dented bonnet or door panel that needs replacing - F.O.O.K.E.D! But in spite of that, still quite a number of Fiat Coupes on the road which is a testament to the car's appeal.
Real beauty la, everything from the colour coded aluminium panel running thru the dash to the super wedge design (courtesy of Chris Bangles) is fooking class. Certified future classic this model.
RE: RX8. Outside budget la macha. Used ones are going fer RM115k. Though the rotary wankel engine warrants a mere 1.3 road tax, macha, it drinks petrol like a super charged 911. And with the impending price hike in may, not such a hot idea.
Yes, yer rite. Limited number of specialists available who can deal with the RX8's engine.
