Fight the power!

This heart-breaking vid may be slightly out of date (over a year old; can also be seen on albertus's blog) but is a severe reminder that NO ONE, & I mean abso-fooking-lutely no one is safe from the sheer GREED, AVARICE & POMPOSITY of the Barisan Fooking Nasional.

I recall me lawyer friend Isa (of AI Nathan & Isa Aziz Ibrahim & Co) telling me how he, too, volunteered his legal services to help Bumi squatters who had been left high & dry by the ruling powers. Their utter refusal to hear the people's pleas or to properly compensate them disgusted my friend.

The vid highlights several issues which loyalist BN supporters should do well to heed. Firstly, the NEP is NOT helping anyone but the upper echelons of the ruling hierarchy. As Anwar said in the ceramah vid below, why the need fer some VIP Dato' to take RM25 million worth of Bumi shares fer himself? "Tiada Bumiputra lain ka?"

Secondly, as you can see from the vid, the hardcore poor are treated worse than shite - regardless of race. Tak kira bangsa, if you are in the way of a condo project, you're just garbage to be swept away. Due process & the judiciary? Well, guess what, its pretty much non-existant in this country as these poor folk found out.

Do you really want such heartless fooking pricks to be running our country? 8th Mar - You Decide! Keep the status quo or fight the powers that be!

geez...fantastic memory bala...but honestly that was one case which unfortunately went the way of the powers that be. the age old cliche of united we stand, divided we fall once again proved to be the downfall of those squatters. And it was easy. Its a tactic that has been employed for centuries. Offer some jokers cash, they switch alliance and the rest will follow suit, seeing how much money the other fella has gotten...its a tactic thats evil, unethical and downright immoral BUT extremely effective. GREED, to me is the most heinous of the 7 deadly sins..Had the squatters been united, well.. thats a different story.

I suppose its just like if only the ball had gone in, we would have won..haha

and dear bala is absolutely spot on..to be honest, it doesnt really matter which race u belong to. If u're in the way of some fooking crony's money making scheme, you'll just get pummelled.

If the NEP was truly designed to eradicate poverty, isn't it a wonder how TV3 can find so many candidates to be featured in their heart tugging "BERSAMA MU" series??? kids suffering from malnutrition, having to revise their studies under the light of a kerosene lamp, running for cover everytime it rains cause their 'home' has more holes in the roof than cheese??? 'kais pagi makan pagi existence' ???
wake up everyone...

I'll be honest..personally, I am APOLITICAL, not BN not PKR not DAP, definitely not PAS or any other organised group of persons calling themselves a political party. In fact, I hate politics. I once heard a former DPM (demised) telling someone in confidence, if u cannot at some point in time, spit on your best friend's face, you shouldnt be in politics...I can never do a DIOUFY on anyone, let alone my best friend..but bashing someone up..hmm that again is a different story...

I despise Anwar. I have my reasons and it has nothing to do with how he was removed as DPM. I would like to think that my opinion of him when in varsity was down to pure youthful rebelliousness (he WAS the President/Vice Chancellor of my uni) but, looking back..i still feel that i was and am right. He is and will always be a politician.

BUT looking at the government and its goons (too many to name them...) led by DOPEY DWARF with their 2/3 majority and unfettered and unrestricted ways of enriching their own pockets...well fook them!! Enough is enough...

Since UNDI KAMU ADALAH RAHSIA, I wont tell u who i'm voting for BUT if Malaysia is to stand a chance of becoming a better place, lets have more debate, and i mean meaningful debates and not "bocor, racist, bodoh, diam, duduk, kurang ajar & etc" screams in the parliament and state assemblies..not just fooking yes-men/women elected reps...

AND NO, i do not use my bumi status, and neither do my partners use my bumi status to get work...I have been banned by my partners from doing any marketing work...due to some strange reason that they say i scare clients away..(??)

hmmm..I wonder why....

Well, it's the lesser of 2 evils as they say. Looking at the current situation, anyone will be better than Barang Naik.

I can understand where ya coming from with regards to Anwar. Just hope he finally got his stance right and not swaying to the wind as they say.

Its like that as long as BN remains in power. XXXX SDN BHD gets to develop some squatter land, gets all the permits, uses the council tractors to demolish the homes, and free swecurity personnel, ala FRU!
How good does it get for the XXXX company???

The rakyat must now stand firm in denying BN the majority, if not getting rid of all the whankers in power!!!
and that starts with me! and you and you and you......

Isa - Totally agree with you. But I'm sure there are other cases up and down the country where the Govt has beaten down the poor, common, powerless folk, regardless of race. I know of one massive land acquisition down south made by the State authorities and then subsequently alienated to a huge GLC.

Yet, we all still see ordinary folk with their unstinting support for BN. Ignorance and fear keeps them in place. Like what AI said in his ceramah, one solitary bumiputra gets 25 million shares. As if there were no others who could have partaken of it. And yet, these guys also want the taxi permits as well. Still, as he said, there are taxi drivers who support BN.

The sad thing however isn't just the above. It's that the fear is real that they would suffer (even more) if they withheld support. A mutual friend of Bala and I from an east coast state said that even money for the needy to buy school text books is doled out (or not as the case may be) based on political allegiances.

So, if you are piss poor, you vote with your stomach. It's just that it's no guarantee that you won't get shafted sometime in the future.

nick m: When are we gonna realise if a change don't come soon, it ai'n't gonna come at all. Blackmail, fear of reprisals & downright intimidation are the tools of the Barisan Fooking Nasional.

Perhaps the rakyat should dole out some of the same to these bastards!

Tony: To paraphrase someone I used to know, "why change things when it is perfect?". This person has since changed his views but sadly millions of others haven't . . .

isa: Greed is root of all our problems . . .

JonC: Tend to agre with you. Am sceptical of nayone who used to sleep with the enemy but he represents the best hope of popular support fer an opposition party.
