McFook Off!!!

Turned on the telly this morning & guess what the BBC was reporting on? Yup, it was how a small Malaysian Indian restaurant managed to beat the Mighty McD's in a landmark court case over trademark infringement.

Am sorry. Me is biased & thinks McD's is the fooking epitome of evil. Never saw why anyone would proclaim cravings fer soggy fooking fries & mystery meat burgers. Not even during me teen years did me fall fer its advertising shtick.

And fer fook's sake, in what way was this lil banana leaf restaurant threatening yer business. Different food, different clientele & different set ups. With the court ruling in favour of McCurry, the owners say they have new investors (lured no doubt by the free publicity) who want to set up an international chain of McCurries. Go fer it!!!

Everyone loves the underdog, especially one who makes good mutton paratel.

ps: Fer more details, see Malaysian Insider report: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/37162-mcdonalds-loses-to-mccurry-again-and-finally

pps: If ye still think McD's is the bomb, please do check out Morgan Spurlock's documentary Supersize Me. Its yer tummy . . .

GOAT SPARE PARTS ANYONE?

location: one of "the hoods" of kl..lebuh ampang la. entrance is from a back alley, no front entrance.

off-centre cuisines recommended, amongst others:
-goat intestines besar & kecik, cleanly washed - cooked in a smorgasboard of spices ala thick or dry curry.
-goat brain - usually cooked dry, light spices of mustard sweets, jintan with a toss of curry leaves. yu couldn't tell the difference with scrambled eggs. swear.
-goat blood - now, this is something really rare. you're not gonna be drinking the blood right of the neck, think anglo-styled black pudding and you're just about there. except that it's not baked. its cooked and comes out like sort of a thick curry. unique taste and truly does not taste revolting as it may sound. looks like mashed eggplants in curry.

think the specials only come out on weekend issues - sat/sun. worth a try for..the er..goatheads/mutton heads...or muttonbirds...(kiwirawk.hehehhe)

for further details, contact the undersigned. it's also halal.

Anba - oooooo, will go try look for it at Scott's Road.

Slacker - its the same McCurry that's in the news. Its still there though I don't know if its any good.

Moz - stop yer yapping, when can you take us there???

moz: Fuyoh, Mozzer. This is the type of stall catering to hardcore mutton lovers la. But the goat's balls soup is supposed to be artery-stoppingly high in the bad (but delicious) stuff.
Having said that, bila?

Bernard: have the recipe if yer interested.

i'd go for a plate of rice over 3 fucking burgers any day. although i've never tried mcCurry's, i'm very sure 10bucks is enough to get me stuffed there. so hooray for McCurry's!

Moz,

if its halal count me in dei. then later we can proceed to that Havana club you were talkin about. Bernard would be interested in the cigars while we go check out the cuban chics.

On?
