RE: Wigan v LFC
Another round of matches & the signs are increasingly alarming fer our beloved Reds as we struggled to overcome Wigan at the JJB stadium. Torres was restored to the starting XI but all the hype & pressure surrounding him probably affected his performance as he contrived to miss three fooking glorious chances.
Yes, our saviour fer the day was Yossi who played a blinder v Reading but was left out fer this game. Rafa's rotation system is clearly not working as none of the players seem to be able to gel or read each others game. Chaotic, messy & shambolic is how best to describe yet another listless performance.
One suspects some players are getting irritated as they are dropped after putting in a great performance (eg Yossi out, Aurelio in?!?). Only saving grace is we got all three points to stay within touching distance of the front runners & that Wigan themselves were equally wasteful in front of goal or we could have gone home with fook all (especially if the ref had given em a pen & allowed their goal to stand).
All this on the 26th anniversary of the passing of the great Bill Shankly. Wonder what he must've thought watching from above? Probably buggered off to go watch the Arsenal . . .
