Atomic Power

Love Top Gear, abso-fooking-lutely love this clip.

The sheer power of the damn thing is frightening.

Wonder if the day will come when such (yet not ridiclously expensive) exotica will ever reach these shores. Can ye just imagine going round a track in this or going on a hill climb?

Probably the most fun one can have with their clothes on.

Do enjoy the video & share yer comments.

ps: Apologies fer more automotive porn . . .

properly engineered car with no gizmos or electronic driving aids, powered by a supercharged K20A. Not a car for posers, a real driver's car.

Only thing close to it, a Lotus 2 Eleven or some old Lotuses.

Cars these days are no longer cars, they are computers, so smart that they can even drive the drivers around. Which is sad.

TTH: ye is talking about the Lotus Seven, now being produced by Caterham.

Me want, me want . . .

the Lotus 2 Eleven as well, I was saying old Lotuses in general, they were great driving machines. Oh yeah, not forgetting the late Porsche Carrera GT, :P Something new but yet, still possesses the soul of a real driver's car.

If anyone were to tell me that a GTR is a good car, I'd agree, but a driver's car, I'd smack his head

Given yer passion fer driving TTH, me is somewot surprised ye haven't gone italiano . . .

Fiat Coupe bro? Raw power on a budget.

Italians don't strike me that much because of its price, the Fiat Coupe may be available at a much cheaper price tag compare to the other cars, I consider plenty of other factors as well, maintenance for example, plus I do not have much knowledge about European cars, if one were to tell me about the latest Ferrari, I'd look at them and say, I don't know shit about it. Lamborghini Murcielago or Gallardo, which one better, I did not bother to find out back then because I only care about cheaper cars.

Ok, of course the age factor plays a huge role as well, ask a college student if they want an S2000(Albeit a great car) or a Lotus Elise, I'm pretty sure that most will go for the S2000 because of the popularity as well as the looks of it.

What baffles me is that some people want both in a package, they want a lightweight cornering machine, but yet they can't live without leather seats, they want fast and agile cars but yet they can't live without the traction control button. So I guess, in future, there might be a button for people to press with the intention to slide the car just to get some attention.

P.S. Alfa Romeos are nice, but am totally ignorant about them. :P

Eh, the FD2R is also raw, just that Honda doesn't trust us on ABS-less cars, hehehe

TTH: No one ever starts out as an expert on any one marque. Research & better yet, sample & experience fer yerself.

Macha, best ye go find out fer yerself why exactly so many people are fanatics about alfas & fiats despite their notorious reputations.

Even Top Gear team had an episode where they simply said these cars are leaky, noisy, made of tissue paper etc BUT ye cannae be a true petrol head until ye've had one.

Me is nay expert meself but the experinece so far has been nothing short of exhilirating.

Belum cuba, belum tau . . . he he (*racun racun*)

ps: not just raw power, but the acceleration & that engine note . . . sweeeet.

Truly shows how good engineering doesn't need to cost big $$$$$. At approx RM 180K, this is what UK can produce....Malaysian engineering????
