Me makes a living writing stuff & how I wish me could wield the mighty pen like the the fine examples below:
"After all the talk of destiny and all those claims that a fourth European Cup would only begin to reflect Manchester United’s size and ambition, a balmy night in Rome brought anticlimax and regret. They were outclassed by an outstanding Barcelona team — a group of players who showed what grace, elegance and class of the highest order still exist far beyond the Elysian fields of the Barclays Premier League. It takes a special team to make United look ordinary, let alone ugly, but Barcelona, a truly beautiful team, had done so and no one, not least Ferguson, denied the best side had won." - Oliver Kay, The Times
"Two mornings ago Alex Ferguson still thought he had a team that would place him among the top European managers from right across history. By full-time he was back in one of those cold-sweat, pre-1993 moments, defeated by a football club, actually a football institution, which made his own look puny." - Sam Wallace, Independent
"The margin of victory was two goals but the gap between the ambitions, and the execution, of the two teams touched on infinity. It would be comfortable to say the champions of England were beaten. Unfortunately, though, it ran a little deeper than that. They had been undressed and outclassed by the most beautiful team in all of football." - Martin Samuel, Independent
ps: definition of schadenfreude (wikipedia) as “largely unanticipated delight in the suffering of another which is cognized as trivial and/or appropriate.”
pps: While me makes no apologies fer me poorly-disguised contempt fer the AIGs, fact remains they have managed to FINALLY pull even with us in league stakes.

3 European cups to boot? Talk to Sir Bob Paisley first ya clueless geezer. Matching Real Madrid's record 9 wins?
Some people just never learn. Getting senile perharps.
Yeah, Barcelona were really scary weren't they? The ease in which their midfield strung passes together and find empty space made them look like they were playing with 13 players! Won't be surprised if some Arab billionnaire buys Burnley and then Iniesta, Xavi, Messi and Eto!
And SCUM fans just couldn't take defeat could they? A Barca fan was slashed in Cheras and a distraught SCUM fan in Nigeria drove his minibus into a crowd of celebrating Barca fans killing 4 and injuring many others.
I can see the SCUM reign ending. Crybaby seems to be leaving. Tevez is leaving. Berbatov is more worried abt his hair than scoring goals. The old Goat can't have too many more years in him. Scholes and Giggs must be 40 now. That leaves that ugly MF "Shrek" as the only star left. I see us seriously in the hunt from now on.
For those who missed out on my postings on FB yesterday...OK, I didn't come up with the lines but they're too good not to be shared again! :D
"The famous Man United went to Rome to see the Pope
And this is what he said...
I know a team called Liverpool We've had them here before
They were here in '77 and again in '84
You say you're Kings of Europe
But The Reds have won much more Now fuck off home and out of Rome And fuck your number four"
"United, United, how did you fare?
Barca were playing with 5 men to spare
Embarrasing watching men against boys
Messi and company playing with toys
A man called Bob Paisley has 3 cups to show
Does purple face bastard?
The answer is no!
A sad long ole journey now back to your home
And the saying is true that there's no place like Rome!"
This one you can sing to the tune of the Torres bounce chant..
"United went to play in Rome, Hurrah! Hurrah!
United went to play in Rome, Hurrah! Hurrah!
They won it last year cos Terry slipped
Fergies's no Sir Bob he's Barca's Bitch
You're shite in Europe, but Liverpool go marchin' on!"
& one that was posted by a friend of mine :
"It appears that the UK Postal office had to recall all of the commemorative Man United Quintuple Cup Winners 2009 stamps that was recently printed out for public sale. The spokesman said the sudden decision to now recall the stamps was simply for two reasons - 1) Football fans thought that the message imprinted is now completely inaccurate & 2) Non-football fans just didn't know which side of the stamp to spit on."
& finally :
"FOR SALE: 76,212 'We won it 4 times' t-shirts in Manc red. Ideal for cleaning windows or wiping your dogs arse. Phone: 01610708900 and ask for Alex."
i always thought that when you pay peanuts you get monkeys. but in their case, a ridiculous amount of cash was splashed and still they end up with a monkey. that's berba for you.
well i was happy but knowing united you never can underestimate them...
they got the money so...m just waiting for their next move...
And even more.....
"A horrible rape occurred in Rome last night, a beautiful woman with a strap-on bent a deformed tramp over a park bench in central Rome and shagged the shit out of his ring between 7.55 and 9.30 last night.
Police are asking anyone with any information on the incident to phone 41-202020"
"In these tough times I was browsing the job vacancies section in the online version of the Manchester Evening News this morning and this caught my eye: 'Wanted immediately - one experienced welder to re-attach a roof to a double-decker bus. Apply to Manchester Council."
anba: yes, very true. Some transfer records gonna be smashed.
JonC: eh, hati hati sikit. They were a whisker away from doing the quintuple.
Gavin: Latest reports suggest all the stars are staying put as they are even more determined to go win it again.
As fer Barca's invincibility, am not sure it'll last fer long. Rememeber the Ronaldinho inspired team under Rikjaard from a few years ago. That team also played some pretty sublime footie (remember 3-0 at Bernabeu) but we all know how that ended . . .
ps: Us the only challengers? Macha, please la. You can be sure Chelsea, Arsenal & even City will be spending BIG this summer.
Bernard: U should post em all on yer blog.
kerp: latest - arse to sign berba . . . ha ha!
..i particularly enjoyed thursday this week..;o)
but make no mistake, next season is OUR season heh AD? ;o) wooO hooO!
ini tidak adil!
apa ni..tiba2 citer pasal bola?
kakaka..kidding bro!
aku tak boleh blah tengok Man U main cam haram!
dengan gaya main penuh tak menjadi macam tu, tak perlu Barca, fulham pun boleh kalahkan MU semula.
peace!
was reading something on soccernet...
I know blasphemous web title...
saw this...
taken from a ronaldo interview...
Me just imagined if i could supply a rebuttal if i was there..this is how it would go...
"I cannot explain," he told RTP. "We, the players, were not well, the tactics were not good... everything went wrong....
Me says says hmmm feeble attempt to get himself kicked out of MAn u... a move to piss of Alex...
"We have to give credit to Barcelona, but they were a bit lucky to be here because Chelsea did not deserve to lose and no-one has mentioned that...
Me say Yes Cibai ... you also lucky you all just managed to lose by 2 goals only..not 12...
wishful thinking Ronaldo...ingat chelsea a walk in a park kot...atleast they lost bcoz of away goal rule...and i think Barcelona takut Chelsea more than Manure...
and now for the icing on the cake..this gem
"I have to congratulate Barcelona, they were better, but football is just like this: only the winners get talked about."
Nope Ci Boy...you're totally wrong in this blog we're talking bout the losers...that is you...hehehe...
City keen on Kaka and Ribery.
these scums should do some reality check. qualify for the Champs League spot first then only can talk la.
Berba to Arsenal? i'd prefer P. Maniam any day.
Kerp... me agree Berba mmg Berbau...Haprak..insteed
hope Arsene Wenger buys
tevez..now that would be good
Anba,
Wenger in for Tevez- too good to be true but you just never know, brother. fingers and toes all crossed.
Anba: Er . . . the posting was merely highlighting some wonderful journalism. (*wink wink*)
Kerp: P Maniam . . . ha ha Aha ha! Fook me silly la, that's a name me haven't fooking heard in a very long time. And macha, me thinks you already have yer very own version of P Maniam . . . N Bendtner!!!
Les: please la, enough with yer crap predictions la. . .
J or Ji: Great to see you take this piece in the right spririt. Peace indeed.
Scouse humour never cease to amaze...
"23 years he's been chasing his dreams
18 league titles at the Theatre Of Screams
One more after this
3 more European Cups
One sour faced bastard and a team of fuck ups.
A Scot false messiah who bought a knighthood
They once wanted him out and bayed for his blood
And lest we forget his ego of course
Brought their club to its knees
For the sake of a horse.
His interviews teach us how not to behave
Contempt that must make Busby turn in his grave
So always remember as a blind devotee
What took him 6 years took the King Kenny 3.
And what will hurt most of his glories bygone
What took him 12 years
Took a fat Spaniard 1!"
"What goes beep, beep beep?
The MU parade bus reversing back in the garage."
"OXO are bringing out a new red & white cube to mark MU's defeat........its called 'laughing stock'."
RE : P. Maniam - every team had to have one of them at some point or another.
Unker Bernard..... keep em coming. Wahahahaha.
Just remembered, today is the 24th anniversary of the Heysel tragedy.
RIP to the 39. YNWA.
chek out the bollox that is being passed fer intelligent comment by some of the fooks @ http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/opinion/shannonteoh/27941-whats-the-difference-between-barca-mu-chelsea-liverpool--goals .
tuan kerp: p farkin maniammm..mmwahahhahahhahahhahahahhahahhahahhaha..

makes me sound that fraction smarter.
mwahhahahah
AD: when is the next makan makan now that you and the gang have so much to gloat about, just let me know so that I will be busy and not make it.
I'll take all the shit said here. we deserve it. barca was motherfuckingly excellent and they taught us how to play foorball.
how we ended up playing like the team from the next taman i dunno but that's football.
i saw no passion in MU, they were playing like worst than the arsenal "boys" and barca took it from us.
congrats to barca, they truly deserve it.
Any bidders???
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260418777855
You just lost a reader.
lol
Bernard: It's the truth la. I dunno why the rest cant accept it. We were outplayed and that's a fact.
"the truth is the truth, all you can do is live with it" :P
dei bernard, dont go soft on him la. i'm sure he was cursing like theres no tomorrow while writing those simple 4-5 liners.
Tman, worse than the arsenal boys? you go tell that to a certain Evra.
re; P. Maniam - a mere mention of his name strikes a chord amongst many old geezers in here. in my book he's a legend. number 10 somemore wei...
kerp...
you really had me scraching me head thinkun who is P maniam btl btl sudah lupa...
coz being a perakian the Only P yang saya tahu is P.Rvindran heheheh
Hey guys, I seriously think its time for liverpool fans to shut the fuck up about our history.... as much as i hate fergie, he has helped Monkey Utd reach no 18. What once seemed impossible or unreachable... has now been broken.... so what if he didn't do it fast enough... he did it didn't he? one thing i admire about fergie is his confidence and never give up attitude... and for once i felt he was gracious in defeat... 3/5 trophies ain't bad if u think about it!
btw... he does have more trophies that paisley (i think)... so i think he is arguably the most successful manager (trophy wise) in england yet...
so stop talking about stats, history and all that other bullshit... who cares about the bias referee decisions, curses and other what ifs.... or about the fact that if liverpool didnt lose to a team that got relegated..... we must stop all this whinning BULLSHIT!
i'm just glad the reds played well throughout the whole season (in the league) apart for a few weeks for fucked up madness (re: stoke and boro weekends).... and i pray that rafa shuts his trap and let his football do the talking because i trully believe he will bring no 19 to anfield and maybe next season will finally be the season where we can be serious contenders for all trophies....
hats off to united for winning it... as much as i hate to concede, they were clearly the better team over the 38 matches.... and what i dread has finally happened... united now has 18.. FUCK!
so i urge all reds to shut the fuck up about the past and channel it towards positive attitude for the future!!! we will get no 19.. and i do fucking hope it'll be 09/10... coz it'll be way too embarrasing if united hits 19 first!
btw: bernard.... though i think yer collection of scouse humour somewhat insulting... i can't deny the humour factor! keep em coming!
ps: bala - great compilation of brilliant pieces of journalism...
SLACKER: clap clap clap ... thank you for that. Till next season then ... all the best to all teams :))
i thought both teams played well. MU defence however was a bit shaky and barcerlona just knew how to take chances.
both teams deserved the final.
slacker: The whole point of the posting was to highlight the brilliant writing anyways. And if ye noticed the ps, me had made it a point to HIGHLIGHT the fact that the scum have equalled our record. Hence, we can no longer claim to be the greatest in the land.
As fer Kopites talking too much crap, inexcusable as it may seem, you will realise it is due to all that pent up frustration & having to deal with shite-talking scum fans FER YEARS!!!
Haven't we ALL suffered over the years listening to them talk fooking SHITE?
So no great surprise that so many have jumped on the chance to give some back.
And guess what? Scum fans suddenly get all sensitive & shit. And starts asking us to 'shut up'. Hmmmmmm, me dunno la. Case of 'dishing it but not being able to take it'?
ani: gloating? who's gloating? Again, me was just highlighting some brillinat writing by some great columnists. Again, well played.
Tinesh: Good to see ye & j or ji taking this posting in the right spirit.
praxidice: haiyo . . . win some, lose some la. Nobody has a divine right to win all the fooking time & be immune to some jibing & banter from rival fans.
Azer: Am sure plenty will diagree with ye.
Moz: Who sez me blog has got no educational value eh? Hee hee.
AD: will take that at face value ... so again, dude when's the next makan makan la ... be interesting to meet the rest that frequent here.
ani: ok, will get on it. Both Kerp & Bernard have already grought it up. Will make it me next posting.
AD: how abt Hokkaido down opp Vistana Hotel :)) super seafood there :))
bala.. dont get me wrong, i agree with you, mancs talk loads of shite all the time, but at the end of they day, they won alot and we didn't do much in the past 20 years. It disgust me that reds' fans tend to reply scum gloating with a quick history lesson... if we stop whinning... i'm sure they'll stop gloating.. and everyone can enjoy a good match...
its funny... in the 90s i used to really hate united.. but i don't anymore (maybe a little).. instead, i have found some respect for them given their dominance over the past 2 decades.. its the fans i don't like.. but in all honestly... liverpool fans aren't that much better..
when united string a few league titles together, reds' fans say we have 18.... when united won in europe... we say they'll never had european dominance and were fucking lucky agaisnt the germans (which i do agree)... and the list goes on... i'm just saying.. when will it end? isn't it all too boring, childish and repetitive?
let the scummers gloat.. why do we need to stoop to their level? if they do beat all our records, all i can say is shame on us.... sometimes i wonder... will we wait for united to beat all our records before we shut the fuck up about our history?
so once again... lets channel our angst and energy postively towards no 19... and i think rafa is the man to do it... but he does need to shut the fuck up and let his tactics do the talking on the pitch
at the end of the day... its not history thay we have.. but a sincere love for a football club!whether we get relegated or not... its the only club i want to support.. ynwa
ps: i did see your ps... and i loved your posting... just that some of the comments i've seen on fb, blogs and even some of the comments on this post are quite bias and disrespectful... don't get me wrong.. i fuck scum fans when they talk crap to me... but it sometimes makes me feel like a hypocrite
pss: whatever i have said... will never make me less a Red...
slacker: yes yes. agreed.
In fact, me have been keeping me own counsel on this. However, far too many scummers have been rubbing it in me face when all me has done is sit quitely in me cubicle.
Yes, we shouldn't drag ourselves down to their level but damn, don't it feel good to watch em suffer . . .
And many of me most pointed remarks/jibes were specifically aimed at scummers who consistently felt the need to poke fun at me & me club. (eg me ad agency rep who sends me jokes about dogs arseholes & Kopites, so me copied & pasted Bernard's collection & sent it to him).
As fer no19, we'll just have to wait & see.
And if scum fans say we're bitter, jealous etc. Fook em. They wouldn't understand. Vast majority of them don't know shit or what it is to support a team. And please, please ask them to EXPLAIN why the scum fans in ROME were busy singing songs about US when they are playing Barca??!!??
Know what I mean?
And let's face it, footie doesn't exist in a vacuum.
and if I was rude. then screw you too!
Hasta La Vista Baby!
