Thani Time!!!

Time fooking flies. Doesn't seem like a year since we last got together (@ Fatty Crab) & Kerp, Bernard, Ani have all said its time fer our annual get-together.

So me is suggesting 27 June (Sat, 730pm onwards) as a tentative date. Open to suggestions fer venue though somewhere in PJ is preferred. Me would like to propose Rennie's in Jalan Gasing as the food is halal & the beer is cheap. Plus, we can always move to Old Skool next door fer some live music & pool after chit chat. (fer those who don't know, its just opposite EPF building & two doors away from7-11).

So how? Invitation is open to all usual visitors here. You know who ye are, so please leave yer suggestions in comments box.

ps: Outstation boyz - Moz & Anba - time & date okay with ye guys? And Anba, please bring yer fiance.

Sorry peeps

Cant make it. Got my diving course that weekend :)

Bernard said...

We're OK with the 27th. But Rennies not OKU friendly as far as the loo is concerned, unless Tuan Mat Kerpov can confirm he's got an unusually large bladder or a fire hose like appendage...

Bala, stay on healthy food until the 27th...

kevo said...

Ey dude thankslot fer the invite. Saturday nites bit dodgy lah but insyallah. Also shy lah dunno almost next to none here hehe.

Anyway, good choice dude must say Rennie's, at least can hear yerselves yaking lah. Guinness pints sweet too...

Later, if you wanna pump up the volume a lil, Ol Skool's okay but would suggest Cee Jays Place nearby (opp Univ Hospital in between Sri Ganesh and the old Talking Heads). Its bigger, Pool, Retro music... quite happening fer an understated joint. Parking sucks though.

balaj9:- me fiancee goes bck taiping everyweekend...let me ask 1st...even myself also i'll go back on the 26th for the 27th event...

anfield devotee said...

bernard: will check with Tuan Kerp.

Kevo: that's why we are meeting up la dude. That's how me got to meet some of the strangers here.

Besides, you've already met Bernard, LLT & a few others during the LFC v manc game.

Cee Jays ah ye say. Live music?

Bernard said...

Surin mentioned CJ's to me a couple of weeks ago. Supposed to be quite happening as mentioned. Its where David's office used to be.

Kevo - no need to be shy shy one. After all, a nice cold Tiger will be the perfect ice breaker.

Anba - break free from monotony!! This is a rare occasion. As the sneaker people from Oregon say, Just Do It!!

anfield devotee said...

Am cool. CeeJays, Rennie's or Old Skool all sound fine, Bernard.

We could start @ Rennie's first, then move from there.

i'm on borrowed machine so i'll just be quick and off again.

Bernard,

dont worry about the loo, i wont be using any. what i'm more worried about are the barriers leading to the premise but that shouldnt cause much of a hitch as we've got the lads to carry me up and break their bones in the process.

Anba,

what work la wei? malu for having friends like us ah? kihkih...

Kevo,

please, you are most welcome to join. there'll be others who hv never met each other as well. as you folks always been singing thruout the season. whats that again? YNWA? hehehehe...hey, i really mean it, do try and free the date for us.

akka,

lets stick to the suggested venue.

Ridzzy,

karaoke sounds good but lets stick to Rennie's first. and you better be there mann...

M,

you not coming, macha?

Tman,

what 'anything comes up'? you better be there, we need a punching back around.

JonnyC,

what 'some shite comes up'? just lock this date for us la.

G,

not too late.

Mozzz,

i need a ride.

and bala,

Rennie's good to me. but as i told you, even if there's any changes of venue or time, just count me in. as long no pork served, gua ON je...

kerp: Not to worry. Me thinks we should have nay problem getting you into Rennie's. we start there la. After we play by ear.

tinesh: did you extend invite to yer madam leah?

ani: central sikit la PeeJay. Like me told Riddzy, guys coming from Klang, Puchong plus most of the others are actual PJ residents. Plus Rennies is quite conducive fer chit chat. And me thinks ye'ss love the oxtail stew there. Ada famous.

While we bear our counterparts at the "National Day of Prayer Task Force" no ill-will, we'd like to remind them of a few salient facts:

* God can be misinterpreted. Slayer cannot. Slayer does not require you to understand the word, or the theology, or to believe in Heaven and Hell. You must only feel the power of this music and let it move you.
* The International Day of Slayer website has been translated into twelve languages including Hebrew and Icelandic. You can get your National Day of Prayer in only two, English and Spanish.
* People involved in religions often get confused over who is Us and who is Them. We suggest a simpler plan: You must listen to Slayer. Anyone not listening to Slayer is either Them, or forgot to take the day off to listen to Slayer.
* Prayer is a quiet, personal activity from which you get no immediate results. Listening to Slayer clears your mind and gets you ready for the only thing that matters in life, which is living it and making things happen.
* If you're going to pray, you want God to think you're good and not evil. Slayer embraces both evil and good, so you don't have to censor your actions before they happen. Slayer is a new morality for a dystopian age.
* The National Day of Prayer wants you to ask God to do good things for us. But if there is a God, he made Slayer, which is clearly a good thing that can be enjoyed already.

In our great pluralistic nation, every culture needs a voice. Metal is a subculture for everyone who understand metal, and Slayer are spokespeople we can all appreciate. Celebrate the National Day of Slayer and show your support for this recognition of metal culture and SLAYER!

About Slayer

Slayer is a speed metal band from Long Beach, CA who specialize in themes of a mechanistic society manipulated by the occult. For over 20 years, their brand of high-intensity metal has been a watermark for the metal subculture.

About International Day of Slayer

The International Day of Slayer is an initiative by Slayer fans to create a worldwide holiday on June 6 for listening to the music of Slayer.

WHEREAS, Hessians are a legitimate elective culture that should be recognized with their own national day of celebration and

WHEREAS, Slayer is freaking awesome and one of the most influential metal bands in history and

WHEREAS, The theme of the National Day of Slayer is “Don’t go to work, listen to Slayer,” which reflects the imminent importance of Slayer in the lives of hessians across America and

NOW, THEREFORE I, Barack Obama, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, hereby proclaim the day of June 6, 2009, as National Day of Slayer, saluting the valuable artistic contributions of the band Slayer and the legitimacy of the hessian culture that supports them. And I call upon all Americans to listen to Slayer on this day and every day hereafter.

It was an entertaining idea tho..but as I have a very short time back in Msia, I have to maximise it...
