Daaamn! Dudes must be in their early 40's now but still kickin' ass from the looks of it!! Sure brings a nostalgic tear to this metalhead's eye to reminisce of days long gone when Voivod, Sodom, Testament, Anthrax etc. were at their almighty peak during thrash metal's g(l)ory years.

I must say the post was well timed as I was also coincidentally checking out Type O Negative's latest album 'Dead Again' online http://www.typeonegative.net/. Not as brilliant as World Coming Down or October Rust, but pleasantly surprised to see the ol' Brooklyn bashers haven't lost their brutal slow grinding riffs and self deprecating dark wit.

Ending this post on a 'lighter' note, do check out 80's Thrash Metal revivalists Municipal Waste at http://www.facethewaste.com/. Their Troma-inspired B grade horror movie single 'Headbanger Facerip' is HILARIOUS!!

Ahhh Premo...I was bloody cracking my head this morning trying to remember the name of the band which had an album release with an extreme close up of a rock hard appendage for a cover & which I enjoyed. Type O Negative it is with 1991's Slow, Deep & Hard!!

I've got the first three Type O albums but too gothy fer me tastes la. Plus wasn't impressed when they made some racist remarks just to get some cheap sensationalist publicity back in the day . . .
