Angst @ Anfield

RE: LFC v Marseille

Abysmal, awful, abject . . . The list goes on but you kinda get the picture bout our performance against a team who are 16th in the French league (or thereabouts) & have not won away in Europe since 1999! Fooking hell!

Please do NOT get me wrong. I derive NO pleasure or satisfaction when me dire predictions regarding our beloved Reds are proven true (once too often fer me own liking; I did sound out possible Basel-type fiasco in me previous posting). But to the Rafa loyalists I have this to say, I am not anti-Rafa but when the team plays crap footie & the results are similarly fooking shite, it is time to wake up & smell the coffee . . .

Like I said, despite his previous successes at Valencia & at Anfield, the old adage that "you are only as good as yer last game" holds true. And on the back of this morning's evidence, fooking hell, mate, you decide . . .

Just like when Roy Evans was playing flowing, attacking footie, I sounded out me reservations bout playing Barnesy in the middle of the park & the lack of defensive solidity. It was 1996 & was told to shut it as we were top of the league at X'mas. In the end, we finished fourth as the mancs did the double over us (FA Cup, Cantona, need I say more).

Just like when Houllier started to lose the plot after a great first three seasons (real improvements & some pretty wonderful memories - eg 2001 treble), I was also told to fooking shut up by the "Who Let The Reds Out" brigade.

Yes, I'm a pessimistic whinger but we have to be vigilant to gaffers who may be making some seriously bad fooking decisions. It just fooking happens when you're under such scrutiny & pressure. Just ask Martin Jol & Juan Ramos - both are under fooking pressure as spurs & sevilla started campaigns badly despite previous accomplishments.

PS: Arsene has similarly rotated his squad but you don't hear any complaints coz the football is easy on the fooking eye & they are unbeaten!

PSS: Chelsea's great comeback v Valencia - their turning point?

pss: Let's hope UEFA fooking ban the diving cheat that is Dida!!! Fooking bastard is a stain on the game with his actions this morning.

Well what can I say other than to say your'e right. After all with much successes, failure often happens. In fact, I support the failure. It happened with Arsenal and with Man Utd with the leaving of Viera and Henry at Arsenal and Ruud Van Nistlerooy at Man Utd. However, what the situation calls for now is how do we bounce back. I am thinking positive on this one and it is brave to admit the losses and defeat posed by Rafael.

He did not offer any excuses or anything other than to say we play like crap!

Maybe there is a player's revolution going on here to retake Pako Ayestran here. I smell a conspiracy going on here. Maybe that's why they're playing like crap. Its as if they're playing a new style.

Anyways, it's still mid-way with a long way to go. I say come December if we're in a rut, then alarm bells should be ringing.

I still say Viva La RAFALUTION! Is this not what You'll Never Walk Alone is all about?

YNWA spirit is lending a hand to yer fellow supporter & being true to yer team. NOT keeping quiet when we are fooking shite!

Roy says (via sms): Time fer rafa to go!

Isa says (via sms): This is down to paco leaving.

Gavin (via sms): waste of time.

I was expecting a lost to wake us up. Glad it did actually, no more "we're unbeaten" reason. Rafa lost the plot tactics wise and the 11 players out in the field are not pulling their part of the bargain either. He's not doing himself any favor at the moment with the kind of school boy performance. What happen to the pass and move football? Left at Pako Hill in Melwood?

I'd say concentrate on the EPL and see how far we can go in CL. We need to take care of our bread and butter. Give me No.19 any day - that's our holy grail.

Yeah, what's the story about Pako Ayestaran? They just swept it under the table. I think Paco De Miguel's his Assistant Manager now. Wasn't Pako the bridge between the players and Rafa? Has his departure affected the team? We were playing good football in the first few games. What the fook happened?

too painful to comment

What a waste of precious sleep time...

Is it a coincidence that we started to play crap footie after Paco left? I smell a conspiracy here somewhere.

Er....

First of all, I didn't watch the game cos again...I might be the only one without ASTRO!!!

Anyways, I have nothing to defend Rafa...just...JUST!!!!....still...the blame cannot solely be on Rafa's shoulder!

Afterall, he started a decent team besides Aurelio and Leto...I might understand where he comes from for Aurelio as he needs match fitness...Leto....I don't know!

This time, Rafa did not defend the team too...he said "The only comfort I can take from this game is that it's finished."....and it is the WORST performance to him since coming to Liverpool.

So, let's not go over the hills! Afterall, isn't Champions League not the priority?!

On the rotation,....hey...the spine played!

If it's one thing I can't stand, its the gutless & passionless play displayed. We were played completely off the park & even on the stands, the Marseille fans were superb. Well done to them.

sing to the tune of 'I will follow him'
Oh Rafa, Oh Rafa, Oh Rafa
He's obsessed with his rotation, rotation, rotation
and all we get is frustration, frustration, frustration,
Its time to change management, management, management!
Dont want to follow him,
leading us away from Champions league,
To which cup he wants we don't know
to play torres or vironin, we don't know,
we dont want to follow him!

something is wrong..the players' body language said it all. Not a single player had that FOOK THE FRENCHIES, I AM GONNA MAKE SURE YOU BASTARDS DONT KILL ANY MORE FROGS..LET ME AT'EM look..panteklah..semua macam ayam sejuk...macam tengah angau..Fully agree with Ah Chong..no fire at all in their play..sakit hati oooh..

Damn, Anfield on a European nite is supposed to be loud, but only the froggies were heard last nite. Macam the KOP was also extremely puzzled with the performance...

Like any revolution, perhaps rafalution was only to get us "there"..and now someone's got to pick it from "there" to "THERE" (imagine me hands way above me head). Che Guevera was never an administrator..was he?

As for Pako leaving, the last game that he was in charge with the training and all..was...the DERBY game. Then followed by 3 shite performances...

damn, for all the faith i have in the reds, i am actually truly fooking worried...

Now, if you don't take me word fer it, listen to Isa. His credentials as a Red includes travelling for not one but BOTH the last 2 champions league finals. Fer last season's final, this mad Kopite bought his tickets to Athens at the q-finals stage la. Talk bout confident supporters Isa is it . . . and even he is fooking worried.

my dear friend, thank you for the kind words but kita serupa...

I have been a RED since that celaka day when the SCUM denied us the first TREBLE in '77 (FA CUP). Was watching it on TV in KL when daddy was commentating from Wembley. And I come from a family of loyal SCUM supporters too..

BUT Kita Serupa...WE ARE REDS..and we all should be worried. AND please dont tell me Champions League not priority lah and all that crap... Whenever and wherever the Reds play, we expect the best. Heck, almost all of us would stay up to watch even a REDS' Mickey Mouse Cup Game ..right?

The last game, the last few games in fact...no heart, no spark. Its not your usual blip, off day whatever. Something is not right.

AND I DO believe that the PAKO factor is affecting the players and performance. Pako's departure was weird...

i.No official news from the website, unlike when the other Pako and Jose Ochotorena(i think) left; when Stevie Heighway left, all had some congratulatory note or something from the site; Ni mesti ada yang tak puas hati that PAKO wants to or has left...

ii. Pako was conducting the training and fitness and Pako was close to the players, unlike RAFA who is the Almighty Gaffer...

iii.for players, you tend to have a closer relationship with the coach/trainer..not so with the gaffer.

So, when someone new takes over, u can either merajuk or ada period of adjustment on the new methods and styles..only worry is how long..

Dont get me wrong, I think RAFA is a brilliant strategist and i thought after 3 games into the season, the man had done it..he was in complete control of his marbles and the team's marbles. BUT NOW..i'm not so sure..there is something missing...a final piece to the jigsaw..is RAFA capable of locating that final piece? hmmmm...

Just my two cents of what i think is happening...

Or is it the repeat of the Gerrard Houllier syndrome? Faltering just when we thought we've got things right.

Fooking hell, looks like we will be contributing towards Martin Jol's survival this weekend with another wretched performance.

Why, oh, why does this always fooking happen to us?

Bernard said...

Oooo...looks like Counsel Isa had a very free day today! Banyak komen...

But as I have said, it's no coincidence we've been playing like Melaka Telekom ever since Pako left. Nobody's saying a word but no point speculating what's in the past or what may have been the cause. Rafa had better stop the rot & sort it out ASAP or the Texans are gonna rotate the bugger back to Spain...PRONTO!

ISA said...

yes bernard..aku dah boring...kerja banyak tapi masih merana..tak boleh concentrate.

If everything else fails, RAFA and the team, including George, Rick & Tom MUST MANDI BUNGA..buang sui..

I WANT TO CELEBRATE THE 19TH TITLE AT WHITE HART LANE ON THE LAST DAY OF THE SEASON AND VISIT MOSCOW ON 21.5.2008. The last time we won the title, I was still a damn virgin...oops...perhaps not...cant remember...thats how fooking long it has been!!!

Isa: it would appear a safer bet if you booked tickets for uefa cup final instead of champions league la, the way it is going.

Bayern v LFC?!?
