Nick: Ah yes, the Sprout, weren't they from yer part of twon, Belfast?

senorita: woi, don't be so presumptous la, metalheads can also have a soft side . . . Glad u enjoyed this. Shame they are no longer around. What a fooking class act.

Ahhh! These fellas were from my Uni town, Hull.

For the uninitiated, like Ms. Senorita, they were made up of former members of another very excellent band, The Housemartins (ex-member include Fat Boy Slim - Norman Cook), who had a big hit with 'Caravan Of Love'. They also had a single out that Mr. Anfield Devotee will hate to hear nowadays...'Happy Hour'!!

Bernard: Woi, I did mention they were from yer hometown la. As fer "Happy Hour", the South have always reserved one tune on each album fer the joys of alcohol (eg Last Bar, Old Red Eyes is back etc), so am quite ok with songs regarding me ex-mistress . . .

A Liverpool supporting band that performed at The Hillsborough Justice Concert back in '97. They have a knack for coming up with some seriously catchy brit pop tunes.
