Carte Fooking Blanch

Be afraid people, be very afraid. The Barisan Najis regime has seen fit to introduce yet another draconian piece of legislation that seeks to further impinge our civil liberties.

The DNA Bill is NOT just about Anwar Ibrahim. It is about all of us & the prospect of living in a fooking police state (if we already aren't). You think me is being a fooking drama queen? Have a look at the article below & tell me what you think.

The right to "use all means necessary" in extracting yer fooking DNA sample? Can be used anytime anywhere in whatever investigations? No provision fer the disposal of DNA sample?!!!? Fooking hell, if these clauses don't make you brown yer fooking underwear, me don't know what will.

In short, the fooking cops will have carte fooking blanch to do whatever the fook they please as they will have the power to nail virtually any crime they want on YER fooking ass!

DNA BILL CAUSES UNEASE (FROM THE MALAYSIAN INSIDER)
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 — A controversy is brewing over a seemingly rushed parliamentary Bill that gives enormous powers to Malaysian police and the home minister over the use of a person’s DNA in criminal offences.

The Bill was passed in principle last Thursday after opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim staged a walkout of opposition lawmakers to protest Home Minister Datuk Syed Hamid Albar’s refusal to refer the Bill to a select committee for further evaluation. But the disquiet was evident: some Barisan Nasional lawmakers also expressed their anxiety over the legislation's sweeping reach.

For Anwar, 61, the Bill must seem to be a slowly unfolding horror personally directed against him. The former deputy prime minister is facing charges that he sodomised a former aide in a case that will be mentioned later this week but has refused to give the police a fresh DNA sample. But the Bill would make it mandatory for suspects to provide DNA samples on pain of a jail term.

Although he refused to refer the Bill to a select committee, Syed Hamid assured opposition lawmakers that the police would never misuse their powers and promised to resign if they ever did. “There is no political motive,” he later told reporters. “I think it's ridiculous that the opposition looks at everything as having a political motive.”

But critics say that the Bill seemed draconian. They note, for instance, that the legislation empowers a senior policeman to be the head of the forensic DNA databank. They maintain that an independent body, and not the police which have a vested interest in convicting suspects, should handle collection, storage and testing of specimens.

Another clause in the Bill allows a policeman to “use all means necessary” when taking non-intimate DNA samples (saliva or hair samples, for instance) from a suspect. “What does ‘all means necessary’ mean in the case of a suspect who is in police custody?” asks Michael Kumar Devaraj, a medical doctor and an opposition lawmaker from Perak state.

But what frightens people most is a section saying that “notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, any information from the DNA databank shall be admissible as conclusive proof of the DNA identification in any proceedings in any court”.

Lawyers say that it seems to suggest that a suspect cannot ask for an independent review of the DNA evidence, meaning that the DNA databank's opinion cannot be reviewed in any way by a court of law.

Finally, the legislation provides complete immunity for the minister or any DNA databank personnel for any acts of commission or omission by the person “in good faith”. The critics note that there is no mention of how leftover samples are to be disposed, implying that suspects could possibly be framed for other crimes.

“DNA testing is too powerful a tool to be placed solely in the hands of a police force that has shown bias against political opponents in the past,” says Dr Kumar. “Make no mistake, this is a bad law with very serious implications.”

ps: To all those who still think its not neccesary to be registered/vote as its just fooking politics, here's something else fer you to mull on. Or do you still think this does NOT fooking concern you?

When we have cases like Altantuya, PI balasubramaniam missing...the seized drugs missing in JB...how can we maintain trust in our own Police...

I remember the case involving the Former ipoh Mayor son's who beaten a younng politeknik student to death...
the case was dismissed in court... b'coz the evidence was collected 4-5 days after the event had happened...
but we have cases of youngsters being sent to jail for not having ic and stealing 40 cents...
thats malaysia folks..

AD: Unless DSAI has a real trump card in his sleeve, i say he is as good as fooked-lah. short lived victory dude.

Not politically motivated? my ass-lah. The point of this DNA is to help investigation and present evidence for a court trial. Then why they still want to use it for ISA detainees. ISA detainees cannot stand for trial... if you cannot stand trial, what is the fooking point of taking evedince for the trial?

Also, Suspect cannot ask for independent review. Why? It so obvious the bill is very very one sided and benefits only one party.

Fooking bullshit-lah. Am sick of this crap.

BTW, if the sodomy case does resurface again, i hope somebody asks this very important question...why it took the police so long to determine if Saifuls ass was injured by the act of sodomy or not? Fooking shit... he went to hospital when? and they still waiting for the results?? is our public service that fooking slow?? Even if he did get fooked, everything would have healed by now... so what are they investigating some more?? Nothing to look at-lah!!

It’s been declared before. It can happen again. Martial law that is. Don’t forget we are forcing the hand of a wounded animal and who’s to stop Badawi from doing it.

Should the defections happen, then I would expect the worst case scenario of martial law cum constitutional crises because at that time is when the King would intervene. (Reminds me of Thailand.

Viva Revolution!

On a brighter note, Badawi may call for vote of non confidence oh which he will force another elections…and here we go again. Here, the idea is not to win the vote of no confidence but to force an elections where the nation could tether towards civil war. This will be worse than 1969 and no thanks to the AMENO putras. Again, I say lest not we forget the wounded animal on warpath.

Optimistically, should September 16happen, we can only the support of the Supreme Ruler, a new government will take over as he shares no love for the current executive administration.

For God, King and Country!

I am thinking that the signs are there for a revolution. Wether its bloody or not remains to be seen. One things for sure though, if you see army trucks moving about here and there, then you know martial law will happen.

Without a doubt.
