"Tomboys" beware!

This here was reported in most (if not all) the papers last Friday.

Fatwa on tomboys

KOTA BARU: The National Fatwa Council has ruled that tomboyism, where a girl behaves or dresses in a boyish manner, is forbidden in Islam.

Its chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin said the decision was prompted by recent developments as there had been cases of young women inclined to behave like men and indulging in homosexuality.

Parents must stop their children from indulging in disruptive activities that are against Islamic teachings, he told reporters here yesterday. Bernama

So FFS demands to know, what about her?

Judging by her sluggish showing in the UMNO nominations, the members have already decided to adhere to the fatwa in another fashion. By fooking booting her out . . . hee hee!

ps: What a beautiful pix . . . no wonder she insisted that all 'Visit Malaysia' banners carry her beautiful image. Tourists who want to catch a glimpse of this "Malaysian beauty" better hurry up as her tenure as minister looks set to end soon . . . what a shame . . .

pps: Fer those who don't geddit, this posting is not a slur on gay lifestyles. Nor is it accusing Azalina of being gay. Its just to highlight the absurdity & hypocrisy that is so inherent in Malaysia. The innuendo directed at Azalina is similar to jokes regarding Najib & dead Mongolian models, Chua Soi Lek & viagra, Badahwi & Oz nasi kandar shops; all based on perceived assumptions.

yes... it's an emerging trend. lesbianism. apparently my high school is full of 'em. my cousin told me so.

hmmmm... same sex schools do have this problem.

AD: to me sexual preference is a personal choice. And I think this fatwa is absolutely idiotic. I have very successful gay/lesbian friends who are inspirations to me.

As for cross-dressing is there a fatwa out already for pretty boys or did I miss something here again??

The Government is really running out of 'modal' la that they spend big time money to come out with such crappy 'religious' decisions ... as a cure to problems.

I wonder why every time a woman is independent, strong-willed and successful, she's immediately labeled 'lesbian' but men are never immediately labeled gay - ahahha fooking threatened fookers these idiots are.

I just feel really sad that again we're picking on people just so it makes some people feel holier than thou ... bloody idiots!

Akuani,

'I just feel really sad that again we're picking on people just so it makes some people feel holier than thou ... bloody idiots!' - so true maam, so true. stupid isnt it. it's not like calling others stupid will make one any smarter.

senorita: Who says its a problem?

domo: As fer narrow minded fools, well what can me say? The point of this posting is to say how fooking foolish certain pronoucements are. And if they are going to presecute "Tomboys", they should start from the top.

Me grouse with Azalina has nothing to do with her sexual orientation. Its her stupidity that irks me. So quite funny that she may be on the wrong end of something equally stupid.

Narrow mindedness? Perhaps you should frequent blogs which are more staright to the point & not those who try to highlight the infinite absurdity that is Malaysian religious hypocrisy as well as govt-sponsored foolishness.

akuani: Pls see above. Again this posting has NOTHING to do with gay lifestyles. Its just to point out the utter silliness of the fatwa. And as me said, it is as ridicolous as Azalina's many statemnets re face on poster & Hindraf etc etc.

And unfortunately fer people like Domo above, they don't seem to realise that you can poke fun at a politician based on general assumptions bout that person.

If anyone thinks that's wrong, then please stop all jokes regarding Najib & Mongolia, KJ being a spolit son-in-law & Abdullah being dim witted.

They are based on perceived assumptions. Correcto?

antares: They might just succeed where others have faled . . . hee hee

I don't really give a fook (les or homo) as long as he/she can work for the betterment of all Malaysian and not just to fooking stuff his/her own pockets.

The biggest crime, if you ask me, is STUPIDITY. Oh well. We live in a country where stupidity not only goes unpunished, but is rewarded ... just look at the stuff that goes on in the Dewan. Please la. Better a smart tomboy than an idiotic woman.

Oh ya, uncle, and thanks for your comment on my blog! :-)

RE: Stupidity!
Correcto Mundo! That's the whole point of this posting! (see me comments above)

Azalina is famed fer making stupido statements (eg her beautiful face on posters fer the benefit of tourists / Hindraf religious extremists who don't respect Muslims etc etc); so me thought it approproate that she should be on the receiving end of some stupid ruling!

JonC: Agreed! Unfortunately, some who read this piece fail to see the point of the humour. Oh well . . .

Azalina - lesbos ke not ke.. me not bothered. So long as keje jalan, she doesnt make any stupid statements, rakyat happy, I am ok... Btw, think she looks great in all those Tourism Malaysia posters! Especially so in that pix :P (I dont sound like one, do I?)

anfield devotee said...

Kerp has also asked fer friday but its just not feasible as extended working hours mean many will not be able to make it.

Ok, relek, nothing confirmed yet. We see how, ok?

anfield devotee said...

psychomocha: Haiyo, it doesn't matter whether she looks good or not in those posters. The pix should promote Malaysia as a tourist destination & not act as a permenant campaign poster fer the bitch lar.

And sorry, she does make stupid comments . . . all the time . . .
