Me fellow Malaysians,
Malaysians are very fond of pointing out our (supposed) multi-racial harmony.
Please read the following article & tell me what ye thinks.
The Malaysian Insider
Thursday April 23 2009Police station mobbed after school fight PONTIAN, April 23 — A mob of about 1,000 laid siege to a police station in Pekan Nanas, Johor, on Monday after a Malay teacher was allegedly assaulted by a Chinese man in a national school.
The police station was locked up and a Federal Reserve Unit squad was deployed to prevent the crowd from storming the building.
The police were armed with assault guns while others carried shields or tear gas canisters as they formed a protective ring around the police station.
According to Johor Criminal Investigation Department chief Amer Awal, the problem started when a 13-year-old Chinese student was slapped by a 17-year-old Malay student last Friday after he accidentally brushed the older boy's shoulders.
The Chinese boy is the grandson of a well-known MCA leader, a news website reported.
Sin Chew Daily reported that the Chinese student was transferred to the school less than a month ago and had a history of playing truant. He was once suspended from school for 14 days, the paper reported.
After the assault, the younger boy's father turned up with three friends at the school on Monday to settle the matter but was stopped by the Malay teacher, who is believed to be the father of the student who had hit the boy.
A fight broke out between the two, and the teacher later lodged a police report claiming that he sustained injuries to his face, chest and back.
The 36-year-old father of the Chinese boy was arrested while he was making a report at the Pekan Nanas police station.
When news of the incident broke out, the teacher's friends and relatives began to gather at the police station.
Scuffles erupted between the angry crowd and the police while the boy's father was being transferred to the Pontian district police headquarters in a van.
The crowd tried to stop the van from leaving, with some people throwing objects at the vehicle, smashing one of its windows.
The police are investigating the slapping incident while the father, who has been remanded, is being investigated for trespassing and causing offence in a group.
Following the incident, SMS messages were circulated among Pekan Nanas residents warning them of racial tensions and telling them to stay at home.
Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Wee Jeck Seng urged the police to come down hard on those responsible for circulating the SMS messages. — The Malaysian Insider
Are we so fooking sad that a RACIAL RIOT could be triggered by something so fooking childish & juvenile as ONE BULLY SLAPPING THE FATHER OF ANOTHER BULLY? Haiyo, sedih la . . .

Yet more ISA farce in Bolehland . . . (Ref Malaysiakini)
Me fellow Malaysians, please take the time to read the following article:
Malaysia frees JI terrorists ( From The Malaysian Insider Wednesday December 10 2008)
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 - The Government has released without publicity more than a dozen Muslim extremists linked to the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) terror organisation. They include Malaysian Yazid Sufaat, who is believed to have abetted the Sept 11 attacks in New York.
Yazid emerged as a key figure in JI's regional network because of his link to Zacarias Moussaoui, a French citizen of Moroccan descent who was convicted of conspiracy charges in the Sept 11 attacks in New York.
A senior Malaysian government official told The Straits Times that the Indonesian, Malaysian and Filipino detainees were freed over the past month after a government advisory board at the Kamunting Detention Centre in Perak decided that they were no longer security threats.
Also released was a Thai national, Kasem Dayama, who was arrested in October 2006 for espionage, the official said. Their release has not been publicised.
Coming on the heels of the executions last month of the three Bali bombers in Indonesia, Malaysia's move has raised eyebrows among the region's intelligence community and security experts.
Security analysts warned of reprisal attacks after Indonesia executed Amrozi, Mukhlas and Imam Samudra for their role in the 2002 bombings of two Bali nightclubs that left more than 200 people dead.
Many of the detainees just released in Malaysia knew the Bali bombers well and are known to several JI militants who are still at large, including Noordin Mohammad Top and the Singapore detainee who escaped, Mas Selamat Kastari.
Regional intelligence officials fear that the freed men might still be anti-Western and could easily return to their underground networks in places such as the predominantly Muslim regions of southern Thailand and southern Philippines.
"There is clearly a more relaxed approach to the way Kuala Lumpur is dealing with suspected terrorists," one senior Western intelligence official based in South-east Asia said, adding that his government's security agencies would be seeking more information from their Malaysian counterparts.
A senior Malaysian government official who declined to be named defended the detainees' release. He insisted that Kuala Lumpur remained committed to the fight against religious extremism, and stressed that the men who were released had been rehabilitated after an intensive programme.
"Some of them, like Yazid, have been detained for more than six years and the (advisory) board was comfortable that these men have been rehabilitated," he said.
He added that Yazid, who was arrested in December 2001, had shown "huge improvement" in recent years under the rehabilitation programme. Again, he declined to elaborate. The 43-year-old Yazid is by far the most prominent of the JI suspects released by Malaysia.
A trained biochemist and former army captain, he emerged as a key figure in JI's regional network because of his link to Zacarias Moussaoui, a French citizen of Moroccan descent who was convicted on conspiracy charges in the Sept 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
Yazid hosted Moussaoui during his visit to Malaysia in September and October 2000. Eight months earlier, he allowed Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi to use his apartment. They were the two hijackers on board the American Airlines aircraft that crashed into the Pentagon.
Yazid was to have been detained until Jan 31, 2010, according to security officials.
Sources said his release was subject to conditions. A resident of Selangor, he cannot leave the state without the permission of the state police chief.
Similar conditions apply to Sabah resident Sulaiman Suramin, who was arrested in 2003 and is among those just released. The foreign nationals released by the Malaysian government were mainly lowly functionaries of JI, which has ambitions of establishing a pan-Islamic state linking Indonesia, Malaysia and the Muslim southern islands of the Philippines.
Sources said the freed foreigners included eight Indonesians who were detained for two days at a West Java detention centre before being allowed to return to their families.
The Indonesians include:
Ahmad Zakaria, who was arrested off Sabah in 2004;
Arifin Iwan, who was caught in 2005 en route to the southern Philippines. He had been active in sectarian fighting in Ambon and Poso;
Terhamid Dahlan alias Adi Utomo Sukamto, who was arrested while trying to enter Sabah illegally in 2004;
Zakaria Saman, alias Ahmad Said Maulana, who was arrested in 2003 while returning from south-east Philippines. He fought in Ambon and received his military training in the southern Philippines.
Philippine nationals Shaykinar Guat and Argadi Andoyok were arrested in 2006 off Sabah.
It is not clear whether they have been released since they were handed over to the Philippine authorities.
Thai national Kasem Dayama was also arrested in 2006, but he had no links to JI. Malaysian security officials say he was arrested for spying on southern Thais seeking refuge in Kelantan.
Malaysian government sources said there are another 30 suspected JI operatives, a handful of them foreigners, still in detention at the Kamunting detention centre.
FFS says: Can anyone explain what the ISA is fer? Is it to detain terrorists who have links with 9/11 bombers? To halt extremists who want to form a Pan-Islamic frontier out of the diverse landscape that is SEA? Or just an instrument of fear to terrorise us normal folk?
Me has heard enough fook heads claim it is necessary to combat terrorism & other "forces of evil". Surely, no one is naive enough to think that Kamunting was able to "rehabilitate" hardcore JI members when it can't even deal with an urbanite with a laptop (ie RPK who's been detained on more than one occasion).
The release of suspected terrorists when many of our neighbours are on a high alert is just plain fooking irresponsible. Meanwhile, am sure our beloved govt will be targeting opposition MPs, NGOs, Catholic priests, bloggers & journos to fill the space vacated by those JI detainees.
Fer fook's sake la, only in Malaysia . . .

Welcome Back!
Last Friday - Shock & astonishment when me heard that the High Court had declared Raja Petra's detention under the ISA illegal! After years, nay, decades of ineptitude, the courts gave us citizens a glimmer of hope.
Today - same old fooking shite as govt says it will appeal the decision. Wonder if the appellate courts will have grown some testicles or will the new CJ flex his pro-UMNO muscles in this case?
Can't the fookers in power see that imprisoning RPK only gives credence to his pronouncements? Why can't they just charge him in court without resorting to the ISA?
Whatever yer views of RPK may be, you gotta hand it to him. He's got balls of steel & is willing to go to jail fer his actions. Fer that me salutes him.
Anyways, RPK has wasted little time in getting back into groove. Fer his latest, click: http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/14690/84/ .

Bend over, taxpayer . . .
Read the following article (from yesterday's papers) & tell me what you think:
Authorities Bust 'Sex Parties' in Malaysia, 70 Arrested
Malaysia's The Star reports: "Police busted four male sex parties in progress on Saturday, rounding up more than 70 customers and male sex workers. Some of them could not put on their clothing in time when police stormed the various premises during the 5.30pm incident. (the party had a 'towel' theme as the revellers were only clad in a micro small towel) Used condoms were found strewn all over the floor of the premises. Police also seized some pornography DVDs, gay magazines, lubrication jelly and boxes of condoms at the scene. A team from the anti-vice, gaming and secret societies division (D7) conducted the raids at four separate locations -- two on the mainland as well as a traditional massage parlour and a fitness centre on the island. George Town Deputy OCPD Supt Gan Kong Meng said 28 local men and a man from China, in their 20s to 40s, were arrested at the scene. Some of the customers were from Europe and the United States."
FFS says: No matter how distasteful straight people view this story, the homosexual community has the right to lead their lives free from persecution.
And before anyone turns around & say its against the law here & that is against nature, well, me says the antiquated laws should be changed & let God be the judge of their actions. It most certainly isn't any of the authorities concern.
Am sorry, but the police should be looking to reduce the spiralling crime wave - burglary, robberies, kidnappings, snatch theft, rapes, C4 murders. Not busy itself with what gay men are doing at a private party.
Fer fook's sake, the only ones getting bum fooked from all this "useful" police activity is the taxpayer. (The said club has been raided on four previous occasions with scores of personnel involved. Imagine if the cops were as diligent in actual crime prevention . . . sigh).

WTF?!!?

Since we're on the topic of fatwas & hot on the heels of their war on tomboys; let's have a look at the latest outburst of "wisdom" from the National Fatwa Council.
Fatwa on yoga out soon
PENANG, Oct 29 - The National Fatwa Council will come out with a ruling relating to yoga exercise soon.
The announcement would be made by the council's chairman, Prof Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin, said Deputy Director-General (Operations) of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) Othman Mustapha.
He told reporters this after opening the two-day seminar on Islamic Jurisprudence and Eternal Islamic Thinking at Universiti Sains Malaysia jointly organised by the Islamic Studies Division of the university's Human Knowledge Study Centre and Jakim here today.Yesterday, lecturer Prof Zakaria Stapa of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Islamic Studies Centre advised Muslims who have taken up yoga to stop practising it for fear that it could deviate their belief. - Bernama
Now some will see such a posting as an exercise in Islam-bashing. But one cannot but feel such pronouncements lead to the kind of myopia that divides people. And while it only applies to Muslims, me feels that such insularity and exclusiveness will only be a breeding ground fer IGNORANCE.
Its an exercise la fer fook's sake. The fact that such complaints were heard in many rural American towns a few years back ("un-Christian practices") only show where our religious authorities are heading . . . down that road with the GREAT SATAN AMERIKA SYARIKAT!
Fooking Bodoh!
ps: WTF?!!? = What the Fatwa?!!? (Pls note this is not an anti-Islam posting rather tis an anti-stupidity posting).
pps: Perhaps they are afraid Muslims practising Yoga might turn into Hindraf sympathisers . . .

"Tomboys" beware!
This here was reported in most (if not all) the papers last Friday.
Fatwa on tomboys
KOTA BARU: The National Fatwa Council has ruled that tomboyism, where a girl behaves or dresses in a boyish manner, is forbidden in Islam.
Its chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin said the decision was prompted by recent developments as there had been cases of young women inclined to behave like men and indulging in homosexuality.
Parents must stop their children from indulging in disruptive activities that are against Islamic teachings, he told reporters here yesterday. Bernama
So FFS demands to know, what about her?

Judging by her sluggish showing in the UMNO nominations, the members have already decided to adhere to the fatwa in another fashion. By fooking booting her out . . . hee hee!
ps: What a beautiful pix . . . no wonder she insisted that all 'Visit Malaysia' banners carry her beautiful image. Tourists who want to catch a glimpse of this "Malaysian beauty" better hurry up as her tenure as minister looks set to end soon . . . what a shame . . .
pps: Fer those who don't geddit, this posting is not a slur on gay lifestyles. Nor is it accusing Azalina of being gay. Its just to highlight the absurdity & hypocrisy that is so inherent in Malaysia. The innuendo directed at Azalina is similar to jokes regarding Najib & dead Mongolian models, Chua Soi Lek & viagra, Badahwi & Oz nasi kandar shops; all based on perceived assumptions.

Minister talking shite . . . as usual (Ref Malaysiakini)

And what was the esteemed minister commenting on this time, you ask? Guess what, the fact that scores of Hindraf supporters had the gall to turn up at the PM's Raya open house to peacefully pass a memorandum (& a teddy bear!) asking fer the release of their five leaders. (see report at: http://malaysiakini.com/news/90645)
The YB also went on to say that the open house was not the appropriate venue fer this as the Hindraf supporters could have met the PM elsewhere officially or when parliament reconvened. Oh really?
Reflect badly on tourists? Me suppose spraying peaceful demonstrators with water cannons & detaining citizens without trial sheds a wonderful light on this country's image.
Words fooking fail me rite now . . .
ps: The ex-de facto Law Minister Dato'Zaid Ibrahim said Azalina was one of the main agitators against his reforms & constantly labelled his actions as "anti-Malay". And yet there are those who say UMNO is the best party to lead this country . . . fooking incredible.

More bad shit . . .
August 29. Remember that date, people. Coz that's the day when grabbing a chilled, happy hour draught beer after a hard day's work at yer local watering hole will be a thing of the past. Or sharing a bottle of good scotch with yer mates on the weekend watching footie at the pub will also soon be a luxury few can fooking afford.
Why? Coz on Aug 29, our dozy fooking PM will be tabling the BUDGET. And rumour has it that we will soon be above Norway in terms of alcohol tax. Yup, we'll be number one at something. So all ye boozers & kudikarans out there, best get acquainted with Tuan Sahip & the good Capt Morgan soon . . . fer that's all most ordinary folk will be able to fooking afford. (*hic*)
ps: And oh yeah . . . the Avril Lavigne gig on that date has also been cancelled. Please note that while PAS may have been making the usual noises, it was the Barisan Najis regime that pulled the plug. Reason? Not appropriate in conjunction with our 51st Merdeka celebrations, they said. So ye teenyboppers will have to make do with more "conservative" Malaysian fare - Saiful, Sodomy & C fooking 4!
ps: Fer Fook's Sake urges you to drink as much as possible between now & Aug 29 . . . y'know like the way crazed motorists jam petrol stations before a price hike. (*buuuuuuuuurp!*)

Apathy . . . The Malaysian Identity

They mostly fall into the middle to upper income brackets, urbane & privy to an overseas tertiary education. These are just some of the many friends of mine who have yet to register to VOTE!
Despite me many repeated requests fer them to just drop by the fooking post office, many of them seem to think this is just too much trouble. Despite the seismic shift in the balance of power recently & the continued abuse & misuse of power by Barisan Najis, these guys seem in no hurry to be part of the democratic process of THEIR OWN COUNTRY.
It leaves me speechless that so many among me own friends are apathetic that they cannot spare a few minutes of their precious fooking time to just hand their IC over at the post office. That's right, no forms to fill, no fee levied, nada. Just yer IC & two months time yer name will be (hopefully) on the electoral roll.
Why is it so important? The prospect of a snap elections being called in Sep/Oct 08 is very much on the books. Barisan Najis is fast losing support & its unashamed courting of ideological foe, PAS, & the continued character assassination of Anwar is proof that this rotten, corrupt, bloated & inept coalition (cartoon above) is clutching at fooking straws.
This is what YOU can do. If you haven't registered, please do so NOW. Then get five of yer friends who have not done so to follow suit. Then ask them to talk another five of their friends into doing the same. It is a small step but at least we would have done something to promote a better Malaysia.
The future of this nation is in OUR hands but only of you have registered . . .
ps: Me makes no fooking apologies fer this most partisan of posts. Kick fooking Barisan Najis out!
pps: Fer those who spout 'never trust a politician/me is tired of the political circus' crap, please engage yer brain before spouting more fooking cliches. Politicians are a necessary evil in the parliamentary democracy we have. Unless yer gonna run fer office yerself, me suggest you accept this as a fooking fact of life.
ppps: Those who are offended by this post, don't get angry, get REGISTERED!

Pigs on a wing

Me wifey forwarded me the article below. Me thinks it is an interesting discussion of local Muslim's fascination of form over substance. Me remembers a Turkish patron at me old bistro, Broadwalk, say that Malaysian Muslims are very much in that mould. He pointed out how many Muslims can't even look at a pig (remember the ban of the movie Babe?) but are quite happy to eat crustaceans. The latter bit caught me slightly off guard. He contends that since crabs & prawns are bottom dwellers & therefore subsisted on waste (actually he said "shit"), these items are haram & should not be consumed.
Now, please note as a non-Muslim me is merely putting this topic (& article below) up fer discussion. It is not meant to offend anyone's religious sensibilities. It is also to highlight how the issue below has been turned into a political football & in particular the Malay papers who have been pouring kerosene on the fire.
Please peruse the article below & look forward to yer comments.
ps: me suppose the day oink stops being an issue in Malaysia is the day pigs fooking fly . . .
pps: Don't you think the dacing in the pix above is more representative of a certain political party's logo?
PIG FARMING - Is It Haram?
Dr Mohamed Rafick Khan bin Abdul Rahman
I have been following the story of the construction of a centralized
and modern pig farm in Kampung Tumbuk in Kuala Langat and how the
issue of religious sensitivity and racial cards has been played by the
Opposition (i.e. The BN people) in Selangor.
The issue also appears to have been made worst by the lopsided
reporting by the Malay newspaper which obviously is trying to incite
racial sentiments. Please allow me to share my views as a Muslim on
the matter. The Babi and the narrow minded politicians who called
themselves Muslims from an Islamic perspective. In Islam, the eating
of swine is forbidden. This is clearly demonstrated in many verses of
the Quran. Among others this includes: [1] 5:3, 6:145, 16:114-115; [2]
2:168-169, 3:93-94, 6:119, 10:59; [3] 5:90-91.
My research has failed to find any evidence that suggest that the
religion do not allow Muslims to be
standing next to or to look at or to smell a pig. Maybe some people in
authority can highlight further on this issue.
First of all, I am appalled at the narrow minded politicians who made
the issue of building a centralized and modern pig farming an issue.
It is beyond doubt thatthe real issue here is economy, environmental
pollution and improving quality of life in the surrounding community.
The opposition (BN) are making a mockery of this just because of
political mileage. I feel when something good is being done; it should
be promoted by all parties.
I have travelled to St Louis , USA where it is also known as pork
capital of the world. I have visited and stood 3 feet away from a pig
pen. There was no smell. It was so damn clean. It is even cleaner than
public toilets in Malaysia . How many of these politicians have
visited such a farm and how many are involved in goat farming in
Malaysia ? While goat is Halal in Malaysia , please enter many farms
there is in Malaysia and you will see how dirty it is. Islam only
prohibits the eating of pork. There is no prohibition of looking at it
or standing next to one. In fact I have yet to find anywhere in the
Quran that prevents Muslims from rearing it.
During my 15 months tour of duty with UN in Cambodia , many Malay
Champa who are strong Muslims rear pigs under their house for economic
reason even though they don't eat them. From an economic perspective
it is better to rear pigs than cows or goat. It is simply more
profitable. The pregnancy duration is about 112-115 days compared to
goat which is about 150 days or a cow 290 days.
At the end of each pregnancy the pig produces between 12- 15 piglets,
the goat about 1-2 kids and the cow 1 calf. From an environmental
perspective, it is definitely better to have a central farm where
small farmers join hands and run one big and clean farm. This way the
cleanliness of our water way will be maintained. Waste management will
become the epicentre of the operation. It is more economical to run
one big farm than many small farms that are
polluting.Overall it is a win win situation for everyone.
It is insulting the way some politicians look at the issue. I believe
from an Islamic perspective it is quite clear. It is the narrow minded
politicians that played up the issue that makes it into a Muslim and
non-Muslim issue and trying to create a bigger racial divide among
Malaysians. Sometimes I wonder, which has the lower image, the babi or
these politicians. For that aspect, I respect the position taken by
PAS on this matter. It has shown that it has handled the issues
properly. I ask all level minded Malaysian and to re look at the
'Babi' issue again. Study the real issue properly and make a proper
judgment. Overall it will benefit Malaysians from the economic,
environmental and quality of life perspective.

Race before religion?
One of me colleagues (let's call her Madam O) is a very generous & warm hearted soul. She is moved by everyday plight of people & is always generous with her donations regardless of her own financial constraints.
Just to give you an example, when we were having lunch a few months back, Madam O noticed the couple sitting in the adjacent table had a mentally disabled child. Madam O took the time to go over to say hello to the child & ask the mother about the kid. Madam O then handed the mother some money saying it was fer the child's savings. Although the mother had not asked fer anything (& initially refused to accept), you could see she was surprised & touched by me colleague's sincerity.
This morning, me colleague says she as she was dropping off her own kids at the babysitter, she was approached by an Indian lady & some children. The Indian lady was soliciting fer donations & showed her the portfolio. The centre is in Kajang & cared fer neglected as well as disabled children & is a shelter fer battered wives. Madam O without hesitation handed her whatever she had in her purse & was thanked profusely by the Indian lady & her kids.
As Madam O prepared to hand over her kids to the babysitter, the latter asked who was the Indian lady & what did she want. Upon listening to Madam O's explanation, the babysitter remarked, "apa pulak tanya dengan orang Melayu?" (Why must she ask from a Malay?)(!!!)
Me colleague was at once disheartened, shocked & disgusted. She was speechless. Madam O says she cannot understand why even in situations like this, people must look at race. And doesn't one's religion teach you to be charitable towards the less fortunate.
Going by the example above & half a century of race-based politics, skin pigmentation is the only fooking issue that matters. Thankfully, there are people like Madam O around which means there is still a semblance of hope fer us as a nation . . .
ps: Madam O is herself looking fer donations to purchase an Alfa 156 . . . feel free to contribute via comments box!

Conversation with a BN supporter
This is a recent skype conversation me had with a BN-supporting friend. Yes, we're buddies, talk-footie-over-cold-beer-type-of-buddy. But we are on polar opposites when it comes to politics. This verbatim (cut & pasted) online conversation really go some way in reflecting the mentality & attitude of BN folk . . .
FFS says: Dear VV (real name removed to protect identity)
FFS: pls make sure you are nowhere near snakes
VV says: why la joe?
FFS: lest you get beaten senseless by yer BN faithful
VV: ah! will do bro
FFS: Hamidah Osman
FFS: The pride of BN
VV: bitch
VV: but please don't categorise with BN
FFS:actually me friend said it best
FFS: he says she actually wants some Indian snake to beat her ass
VV: haha
FFS: just salah sebut
FFS: eh? If don't categorise with BN, shouldn't the party expel her?
VV: why?
VV: let her talk la...its not the party stand
VV: we have better things to do la
VV: let's get on with things
FFS: To use fave terminology of BN - fer making "seditious" & "racially sensitive" remarks?
VV: i'm very disappointed with Pakatan
FFS: anyways, still think Najib has nothing to do with Mongol blow up
VV: we need to get on with the more important things la
VV: stop harping on these issues
FFS: Dude, the opposition have held the 5 states fer less than 6 months & everyone is fed up
FFS: why?
VV: Pakatan is full of shit and no substance
FFS: they have been blocked by BN at every juncture
FFS:BN would look the same la if they were in that position
FFS: Hang On
FFS: In fact
FFS: They look like they are full of shit & of no substance whilst in POWER!
VV: we have 50 years of record to back us
VV: Pakatan as a BUGGER to show for all the shit thay have been talking
FFS: yes, like stopping the penang monorail project . . .
FFS: fabulous
FFS: People-centric projects BN say
FFS: 50 years of intimidation & racial politics . . .
FFS: you call that a record
FFS: ???
VV: where were we 50 years ago?
VV: practically a village
FFS: Pls answer the penang monorail
FFS: what justification?
VV: without BN, we'll still be embroiled in petty matters
FFS: pls answer the question
VV: visionaries bro!
VV: taken us to where we are today
FFS: pls answer the question sir
VV: who the fuck cares about the monorial
FFS: allrite, c u & good day
There you have it - BN are Visionaries, Pakatan full of shite. BN have taken us from village to city. But who gives a fuck about the monorail. What wonderful rational & logic; all the while side-stepping pertinent issues as petty & unimportant.
And oh yeah, murder is apparently a petty issue among BN folk . . . Go figure.
ps: Me friend also thinks that the corruption of the judiciary is also a petty issue & we need to move on. Also not aware that Najib had purchased submarines at extortionate prices. . . sigh . . .

A New Anthem fer a New Nation?
As we continue to stare into the abyss of uncontrolled inflation, me is quite surprised that things have been very quiet on the political front. Anyways, all this talk of "ubah gaya hidup" & fer us to become a nation of cyclists, me thought it is perhaps appropriate that me humbly propose that we change our national anthem to the one above.
Anyways, all together now . . . "Bicycle! Bicycle! . . . I want to ride my biiiiiicycle!"
ps: Vid above is dedicated to Mr Fuddy Duddy - Tony "Mercury" Yew!

Repent & ye shall be forgiven!
Some say: "The petrol hike was inevitable. Just look at the worldwide market."
Fer Fook's Sake says: "Fook off. Look at the price comparison provided by Life's Like That (http://www.rhyme-n-slime.blogspot.com/) on the price per litre in other petroluem-producing countries. We are getting screwed over!"
Some say: "Prices will fall or at least stabilise in the near future allowing everyone to adjust."
Fer Fook's Sake says: "Fook off. When was the last time the price per barrel (of petrol, not beer . . . actually come to think of it same fooking thing la) came down? Think back again & was the last time yer wage increase commensurate with the fooking inflation rate?"
Some say: "BN is blameless in this. They would not do this as it would affect their popularity & make snap elections unlikely."
Fer Fook's Sake says: "Fook off!!!!! We are being fooking punished fer daring to vote opposition in last elections. Now they are saying, ok, now we show you suffering. They are saying 'repent & we may make things a little more bearble fer you.' Comprende?"
Some say: "Petrol subsidies eat into a third of the national budget. How la?"
Fer Fook's Sake says: "Fooking Barisan Najis lost power in five of the richest states. They need to fill their coffers some other way; so let the rakyat tanggung la."
ps: One last thing, to all those who thought that the space tourism programme was a milestone in Malaysian achievement & was well worth the money, what the fook do you think now? (Yes, me actually knows some people who thought it was a gemilang moment fer our nation) . . .
pps: Same people also thought what a geat honour it was fer our soldiers to be part of the change of guard at fooking Buckingham Palace . . .
ppps: Also same people who think buying old submarines fer several billion each is a good idea & that our cost of living is still CHEAP!!!

Fuel to the fire
This report appeared in yesterday's edition of The Sun. Its on the topic hangat of S'pore cars not allowed to fill at stations within a 50km radius of the border (also applicable up north). Apparently, the stations at the Thai border have already felt the pinch & many are complaining about the slump in sales.
Domestic Trade & Consumers Affair Minister Datuk Sharir Abdul Samad had this to say:
"It is not right to depend on business of a product which is heavily subsidised and then complain."
On the rationale of the move?
"The intention to restrict the radius to 50km is to ensure that only genuine visitors or tourists are filling up at local stations and not those who come in just to fill up their tanks and the turn back."
On Malaysians working in S'pore or have PR status.
"I think as Malaysians who earn in Singapore dollars and are prepared to buy Singapore cars, they should be able to be inconvenienced to go out to buy petrol."
Fook me! Is it possible that a fooking BN Minister is actually saying something that makes sense or is it just me anti-S'pore sentiment clouding me judgement? The report also says that the govt will be forking out RM56 BILLION in subsidies this year alone. So is the measure above a genuine effort to stem fuel smuggling or just another slap in the face of our neighbours (especially after they 'stole' our rocks)?
Would love to hear what yer thoughts on this issue, especially from those who are Johorians (Anand, Premo & Nick Mun - that'd be you). Good move or just punitive measures against them fooking arrogant islanders?
Either way, sounds good to me. Anything against S'pore is quite possibly the only occasion me will support our govt. And yes, they are NOT a proper country . . .
ps: Asian World Cup Qualifier two days ago - S'pore 3 v Uzbekistan 7!!! Hoo-fooking-ray!

The Mancunian Candidate

Chelsea urge Israeli ban rethink (Times Online and Agencies )
Malaysia may relax their ban on Israeli citizens to allow Chelsea's pre-season tour to go ahead, according to the country's deputy prime minister. Chelsea have pencilled in a match against the Malaysian national team as part of a mini Asian tour in July but have said Avram Grant, their Israeli coach and midfielder Tal Ben Haim would have to be allowed into the country.
Now Najib Tun Razak, the deputy prime minister has said the ban may be lifted for the Chelsea pair. "Chelsea are not my team but it's definitely good for local football," Najib, a Manchester United supporter, said. "I'm not sure what the decision should be yet but it would be a pity if politics got in the way of sports.
"There is a travel ban. We'll have to study the situation first, but I would like to see Chelsea playing here." Malaysia does not have diplomatic ties with Israel and citizens must get special permission to visit the country. In 1997, the government allowed Israel to compete in a 22-nation cricket tournament though the decision led to a series of demonstrations in Kuala Lumpur. Peter Kenyon, Chelsea's chief executive, said last week they would not tour without Grant. He said: "We clearly could not travel without our top coach. It will make no sense to travel without a key member of the coaching staff."
Fer Fook's Sake says: No this is no April Fool's joke; found the report at Times UK online sports pages. Me wonders if the same policy would apply if Liverpool decided to pay these shores a visit. Would the powers that be insist that Yossi Benayoun be left behind?
Wouldn't surprise me now that we know that the Prime Minister in waiting is a FOOKING SCUMMER! No real surprise that innit, complete bastards like him would support them woudn't he? Me is just glad he didn't say he was a Kopite!!!
Yet another reason to NOT support the next BN administration after Badawi steps down. Nuff said!
ps: Quite a clever headline don't you think, even if me has to say so meself (*smug*) . . .

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
During me tea break, I had a quick perusal of a local English daily. Within its pages, there were three reports which highlighted the different aspects of Malaysian society:
The Good
The centrespread feature on a group of samaritans who feed the poor and underprivilige at their Soup Kitchen (2181 Jln Limbang, Jinjamg Utara. For more info, call Angeline at 03-7083 8827).
The story highlights that we have not completely lost that 'caring M'sian ethic' & some decent human beings still exist amongst us.
The Bad
Another example of how disgraced politicians never go away in this country of ours; the story's headline - "Soi Lek's son named to 'defend' Labis". Forced to resign? Tidak apa, just get one of the sons to run as proxy la. What's the fooking problem?
And Last But Not Least, The Plain Fooking Ugly
Article on how the Backstreet Boys will be back in town to vow fans . . . again . . . sigh. Only in M'sia is bad taste so fooking evident. Ever notice how many fooking times Micheal Learns To Rock (& other shite bands) still ply their trade here when their career was effectively over a decade ago?
ps: As usual, look forward to yer comments on what you see as the good, bad & ugly of M'sian life. Have a good weekend!

Same old, same old . . .
Just when the govt was trying to make concessions to the Indian community & try win back some of its vote, along comes a bigot to underline the deep schisms that now run within our society. And am I thankful fer the actions of En Kamaruzaman (below) lest the multitudes of "grateful" Indians forget just how fooking far we have been left behind & what sort abuse we are open to.
What am I talking about? Well, I received these smses over the weekend & I leave it to you to judge fer yerself. As fer the veracity of its contents, again yer call but it doesn't suprise me one iota that this is true. Even if it isn't, we recently had some wakils calling fer the removal of the crosses adorning some missionary schools . . .
1st sms
Indians have been victimised again! SMK Anderson Ipoh teacher, En Kamaruzaman, made some Indian boys cut their religious wrist-strings & ordered them to shave although they protested it was for Thaipusam, with parents letter. He also uttered 'Ini agama syaitan'.
2nd sms
Confirmed with Pengetua just now. Its true, incident in SMK Anderson Ipoh about the teacher Kamaruzaman said to Indian students 'agama syaitan'. Please call to protest to the school management now!
Pengetua : 019-5083883
PK: 012-5763592
PKHem: 012-5137685
Pej: 05-2494900
Pls sms your protests to all!
The smses above were reproduced verbatim. Fer Fook's Sake urges all concerned Malaysians to voice their protest at this display of unbridled racism. Yes, there are racists everywhere but that don't mean we have to fooking tolerate it, especially when he is entrusted with the education of the future generation.
Hope this fooking wanker of an educator meets with an unfortunate accident. As the old adage goes, the only good racist is a dead racists . . .

One fer one
Fooking incredible! According to the Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan, only 4,000 demonstrators turned up fer the march in KL yesterday. City Police Chief deputy comm Datuk Zulhasnan Najib Baharuddin was also quoted as saying 4,000 police officers were deployed to keep the public safe!!! Fooking hell, one cop fer one demonstrator!?!
As Phil Anselmo once screamed,"(What) a vulgar display of power!".
In case you don't know, tens of thousands of peaceful demonstrators (numbers closer to 60,000) had turned up to march from KL's Merdeka Square to the Palace to present to the Agong a memorandum demanding a clean & fair elections.
If you had watched Al-Jazeera, it would have shown you that they were definitely more than 4,000 people & the reporter, Hamish Macdonald, was among those attacked by the FRU/police with tear gas & water cannons. He said, "There was no provocation & up until the police started firing, it was a peaceful demonstration." Watch vid (link below) fer evidence, ok. This is the highly-respected Al Jazeera & not the "imperialist media of CNN & BBC". I wonder how long before Al Jazeera is asked to fooking pack up & get lost from its plush KLCC offices. The govt must be really regretting wooing this broadcaster into setting up shop here.
Anybody casually glancing thru the national dailies would be none the wiser as to what had happened. The Star buried the story on pg8 & had no pix save fer one showing the jam leading into the city. What a beacon of journalistic integrity. (I have since cancelled me subscription to this fooking wonderful publication).
Yes, I was unable to join me fellow Malaysians in the march due to poor health but I implore you to keep spreading the word. The huge crowd yesterday showed enough Malaysians care about what is going on. The show of police muscle & orchestrated attack on various blogs & online services (such as Malaysia Today & Malaysia Kini) by nefarious agents indicate that the govt is fooking nervous & hell bent on silencing us. Democracy is our RIGHT, NOT a privilge to be handed out as & when it suits the powers that be.
Le us all do something before this beloved country of ours sink further into this mire of corruption, racism & despotism. If you haven't already, please go to yer nearest post office & register to VOTE!
